To be honest I don’t know what the hell is happening with this company.
The website just seems off. Some plagiarism, some stolen images. I think there’s more stolen on the website but I couldn’t find sources for it all.
The one Instagram account (Ivan) seems like a bot account with bought followers?
The maternity Instagram is full of AI images along the stolen ones.
The wedding Instagram has a “Backdropville” icon.
Very weird but they are advertising with the stolen images so are trying to get clients.

It’s been a while since I’ve had a website full of almost all stolen images. There are a few images that I didn’t find sources for but it’s not many.
Since there is *so* much here I am just sticking to sourcing the photographers stolen from that I can find. I also didn’t bother with the stock photos, of which there are dozens. There is SO much that I had to narrow it down somehow.
Also, he used some of these images in his article with Canvas Rebel. He’s a rebel alright… there’s also at least two stock images credited to him in a Medium article he wrote.
There’s also not an insignificant amount of plagiarism at play on the website as well and at least one source of the photos he also took copy from.
It’s worth a look at AEllis’ website to make sure your own work isn’t there as some are collaged and hard to source.

If you haven’t been on the Facebook Post about this listing, you may want to pop over there first because… it’s giving Billcie vibes.
Then another person that has a history with Ellis came in and posted a link to his Instagram highlight reel on the deep dive he’s done into Ellis and… holy shit. From the terrible interactions with a model (more than one), to him not returning his daughter to the mother on time, to his ex’s restraining order and his eventual probation for beating her friend up shortly before his ex was murdered in a hit-and-run… just a whole lot of WTF.
Ellis has a lot of aliases: Aellis Obtenebrix is what he’s currently going as but he’s also known as Lahlan Rotscreck, Ellis Templar, Jason Bourne (I’m serious), and what his real name appears to be is Ellis Warner. Larry Ellis Campbell Jr.
I’m hoping to pull some of the past screenshots I was sent from his infractions as Seaside Boudoir and add them to the post soon.
Update 2/25/2024 @ 11AM EST:
Well last night I got “served” via email (which isn’t legal in Ohio without consent) by Larry/Ellis.
Since I’m already in the lawsuit, I’m just going to go all in and post everything I’ve got that he’s stolen.
After 7 hours of working on this I’m calling it quits after sourcing around 100 images/text sources from his product photography pages. Tomorrow I’ll dig into the rest.
Update 2/25/2024 @ 11PM EST:
I finished up the boudoir portfolios and in total added 151 new sources to the post and I’m not close to being done. I’ll add more tomorrow.

I’m bound and determined to finish sourcing all the photos today. I believe this is the most content I’ve ever sourced??
It’s very interesting that many of these images were flipped so that they weren’t easily found by searching online, I had to flip many back to find the original sources for the images.
It’s almost like he did that intentionally…
Update 11/9/2024
If you haven’t been keeping up with the latest via Substack the summary is that the lawsuit is still ongoing, AEllis is currently in jail and he’s still a shithead.
Since I had some time this weekend I decided to go ahead and update the post with the new website, his new names and aliases and the additional stolen images on his current website.
Just in 2024 I’ve found over 250 items on his website and social media that were stolen from another creator – and that’s a low estimate. That doesn’t include the photos he’s stolen when known as Seaside Boudoir which is another massive chunk.
It appears that at least one client is currently waiting for delivery, this review was left in September.
So, he continues to do great things! Scroll to the bottom for the latest images added to his website that aren’t his.

Updated links to the newest ones, he’s now going by Connor Wylde of Wylde Studios but also still using Jeffrey Bennion (a codefendant in the lawsuit) here and there.

Holy moly.
Whitney has been submitted to me a few various times over the years but generally when I’ve had her dumped into my lap I’ve been too busy with the job that actually pays me to invest time into unraveling the mess that is Whitney Slusser / Whitney Slusser-Smith / Whitney Elizabeth / Whitney Elizabeth Knott / Whitney Elizabeth Knøtt.
There is some photo stealing here, she does like her some inspiration pics! However, the bigger picture here is the problematic history that Whitney has as a professional photographer.
I prefer things to be told chronologically so I’m going to attempt to tell this story in a timeline format so the sourcing format for stolen images will be a bit differet.
While I tried to mostly stick to things related to photography there are some other parts of this story that play into the photography parts so I’ve included it.
Grab your popcorn. It’s a (long) ride below the cut but I promise that it’s a story that needs telling.
Summary: In the past ~8 years of being in business that I can find online, Whitney Elizabeth Knøtt / Whitney Elizabeth / Whitney Slusser Photography (aka Don’t Blink Photography and Irish Twins Photography) has cancelled or no showed to many weddings and sessions. If she does show there has been problems getting photos and/or prints. Refunds are few and far between. She has also at times used images that were not her own to represent her business.

Update 11/9/2023: Ugh. I wish I could say that I’m surprised to hear that Whitney is up to her shit again this fall but I’m not. I’m mostly sorry for the clients she’s burned, yet again.
• Added four more weddings for 2023. One from July with photos and a refund that weren’t delivered until this week after the client posted online, three for October that she cancelled last minute on (as per usual, two were for the same date).
• Here’s hoping that maybe she’ll be prosecuted like CP Family Photography who has a similar history to Whitney (but with less clients affected).
Update 7/14/2023:
• Added another client who Whitney sent in a last minute replacement for on 10/22/2022
• Added a post of Whitney needing last minute second photographer coverage for a wedding 5/27/2023
• More proof Whitney is still pursuing photography despite her claiming to be stepping back
Update 5/10/2023: Whitney is back to replying to ISO’s and posting ads for her photography business.
Update 2/20/2023 @ 10AM: even more receipts including a rebuttal from Whitney via email and Facebook (spoiler alert: she doesn’t refute anything with the sessions, only asserts the medical history is factual). Also included a chat message from Whitney telling her friends that she’s stepping back from photography in 2023.
Update 9/10/2025: I’ve put off updating this post for a while but this summer I’ve had a lot of messages about Whitney so I figured I’d finally update her post. She’s had some issues canceling last minute for birth photography. She’s also changed her business name to Wandering Orchid Photo.
Update 2/13/2026: Whitney has rebranded yet again to Light & Leaf and appears to be operating out of the New England area. She’s already canceled last minute on events and sessions there.
It appears she’s also dipping her toe into styled sessions and is hosting one in June in Newport.
I laughed when I saw that she was recommending herself in comments like a client not the owner.

Not how I planned on spending one of my few Saturdays off this year but here we are. It’s almost somewhat refreshing to get back to photo stealing after dealing with getting scammed a month ago though!
I suspect this photographer has joined some photographer action Facebook and/or Boudoir groups because some of the photos I can’t find online but she has others from the session so she got them somewhere. If you run one of these groups you may want to make sure she isn’t a member.
Since she stole multiple items from a single session I’m posting the first after a bit because it’s a lot of work lol.
As always, there is a huge difference between Alyson’s work and what she’s stolen.
