This submission made me laugh so much, I’m sorry.  However, the gall of someone taking pictures of a televised event then claiming to have been the hired photographer and claiming copyright to the content?  WOW.  That’s a new level of low I’ve not seen before.  Keep in mind that everything on the website the photographer sells.

Updates below.

Website:

The Victoria’s Secret Angel’s Event.

image

Her watermark is on all of the images.

image

On her personal page, she’s also posted images she “photographed” of Col. Chris Hadfield landing from space.

image

Again, her watermark is on the images.

image

She also “photographed” the Hurricane Sandy Relief Concert.

image

She’s also stolen normal photos as well, like this picture of Toronto at night.

image

Also seen on her website.

An osprey.

Also on her website.

Originally by Kevin Wei.  Note that the date this was posted was February of 2012.

I received a lovely email from Kimberly saying she was hacked and the osprey photo is hers, despite the fact it was online before her image.  She sent me this helpful link to prove her watermark had been removed by Kevin.  Click on the metadata link and look under the copyright line.  Oh… yeah.  It’s not Kimberly.  Huh.  So he changed the metadata too right?  Yeah.  No.  Nice try.

The email:

Hi, First here is a link that shows that Osprey photo that person removed my watermark. http://fotoforensics.com/analysis.php?id=4b0409ad244d471d588d8410fbf219dc67a95b4b.125184. Had you done this you would of seen it too.  If go to his website you will see only 1 photo, however I have a complete series of the Osprey shots to include the one making claim on it being stolen. I was not even aware of this, until I saw your post, but appreciate it, as now I can contact that person who stole my photo!
My account was hacked and I could not even get into my page, edit, remove anything up until today, when posting my macro shots,  then all shit hit the fan! I would not be surprised if it was the person who hacked into my account that started all of this. Someone deliberately played games with me, trying to ruin my name in posting photo’s and placing watermarks on them, this is not the This is not first time this has happened. I guess this is what can happen with a public website, and now makes me leery to have such.
I have now removed such photo’s, not because I am guilty, because I am in SHOCK that someone did this to me!
I am very upset by all of this, as my head has been cut off without even a opportunity to speak, and do hope that you will accept this, and I humbly ask for you to please remove what you have posted up.  I take photo’s to enjoy as it is basically my only livelihood  and to share them with people. I make NO money from them. I have had many of my photo’s taken, removed watermarks, used as there’s, and know what this is like, but all I can do is offer you my word that this has been all a misunderstanding, and to please find it in your heart to accept my appeal and remove this off your page.
With all due respect
Kimberly Mallett.

So I went to her website to find out if there were other images that weren’t hers and surprise there are.

I noticed on her Facebook she likes to add in moons to other peoples images so this image caught my eye.

image

I cannot find the original source but she’s edited the image but it is not HER image.

image

This caught my eye because of the horrible job she did covering SOMETHING up on the right hand side of the beach.

image

This image was originally taken by Sean Webb.

image

Another from the website.

image

I cannot find the original source but it appears to be a stock image.

Another from the website.

image

Nope, not hers either.

It’s a still from Disney’s Wings of Nature.

This one may be my personal favorite from her website, it’s also displayed for sale in her store.

image

This is from National Geographic.

On her G+ page she also screencaptured Nik Wallenda’s walk across Niagara Falls and added her watermark.
