Stealing images to advertise for mini sessions is not how you build your portfolio. You build your portfolio by capturing the images YOURSELF then using those photos to advertise more sessions with.
It is that easy.
Before any of you come at me saying she is new and doesn’t know any better she has been educated but continues to use images that aren’t hers because “I’m not using my resources to create a custom set until I know there is interest.”
I’m sure a judge would love that argument at the CCB.
Also, more often than not her disclaimer is hidden beneath a see more link.
Furthermore she has had multiple photographers allegedly try to educate her regarding image use and copyright going back to at least July 2025.
Update 12/18/2025: Samantha who owns The 9th House Photography and her friend (?) Sara Keasley (Kea) have been leaving negative reviews for my business, and Sara has been leaving negative reviews for many photographers who commented or liked comments on the Photo Stealers Facebook Page. I never commented or reviews The 9th House Photography nor did any of the others who got negative reviews.
What’s curious is that The 9th House Photography blocked my business page after reviewing so I can’t see it unless I am not logged in as the page.

Sara also took it upon herself to comment beneath many of my reviews.

Facebook used to allow business pages to remove comments like this but they don’t seem to anymore, ugh.

I also added a photo of The 9th House Photography’s Facebook Header image which also features an image that Samantha did not capture herself. There is no disclaimer in the image or description stating the image isn’t hers.
Update 12/20/2025: Samantha called the police who in turn called me to get my side of the story yesterday. From my understanding she thinks it’s a violation of her privacy to post her name. Which the police stated is public information. I did not post her address or phone number (which is publicly available on her website). Her name is easily found through her own social media. Often when a business has a similar name other businesses I use the owner’s name so that there is a distinction. Also they rebrand but keep infringing on copyrights (see SJC Photography) so this way it is tied together.
Update 1/13/2025: Samantha has rebranded to The Lace House Photos or The Lace House Photo Studio. I quietly updated her listing as many times people featured on this website continue to use images they do not have copyright claims to after the rebrand. Since Samantha posted the Valentine Set of images to a Michigan Facebook Group as an ad after I posted her here I think it was a valid concern.
In the past month I’ve had others reach out to me that have had instances with Samantha. In particular a local photographer who has worked with Samantha and did not have a good experience. I opted to not post about these issues because I was hoping this would blow over.
Over the weekend a client of Samantha’s commented to the post on Facebook stating that Samantha had no call/no showed to their engagement session. They supported this claim with a screenshot of their text conversation with Samantha.

I’m not sure if that is related but Monday morning I woke up to Samantha leaving a review on my photography business’ Google Page.

Samantha updated it again later in the day after I posted my reply to her.

Samantha AGAIN updated it after I changed my reply to reflect her newest allegations against me, included my previous reply alongside an Instagram conversation with an anonymous past thief I’ve listed who is cheering Samantha on.

To be clear: her last name was found using her OWN SOCIAL MEDIA.
Samantha/Samm uses her first name publicly, posts her location publicly, her phone number is publicly listed on her website.
I *only* used her first and last name along with the city to differentiate her from other businesses with a similar name.
Samantha’s last name was found via a link on her own social media (her PayPal account if I remember correctly).
In good faith I’ve removed her last name but considering the above and that she lives in a town of 12K people, I don’t believe my using her name put her in harms way. She even geotags the locations she’s been at.
Hopefully this is the last update but I fear it won’t be.
