I’m starting a sister site to yours. Stop Spot Coloring Photos.

Mine deals with a much more heinous evildoer.

    • Just a Girl

The green and blue spot coloring is blinding!

    • C Sab

Spot coloring NEVER looks good. Why can’t people realize that?

      • I’ve only ever done it once … in 2010 …
        https://flic.kr/p/8n6wVN

        Haven’t ever done it again.

On a side note, I go to Cuba for a week and Flickr goes to hell? What’s with the new interface!

    • Joel

I threw up in my mouth a little.

      • Justin Case

Oh, so you saw the flickr page?

Honestly, It’s no wonder that so many of these people have to resort to stealing. What amazes me is that they think they can start and keep a business running at something for which they have no talent, no experience and obviously no scruples.

This is not personal, but step away from the camera, Destiny, someone is just going to get hurt.

    • Marc W.
  • Guest

Ouch this one hit close to home.

  • peaceetc

But, guys… her Craigslist ad says she’s “Savannah’s most respected photographer.” Surely that must be true and we’re all just jealous haters.

    • C Sab

Oh yes, that must be it.

  • Aaron Lee

This girl is gonna get snappy and mean…. fast.

    • C Sab

      Bring it on.

    • Just a Girl

Just based on her Likes and Groups on her personal Facebook, if she even responds, Jesus is gonna come into it real quick!

      • C Sab

        He usually does.

  • Guest

Check out her personal Facebook cover photo. Gotta love it.

  • CrackerJacker

Check out her personal Facebook cover photo. Gotta love it…

    • C Sab

It’s like she knew she was a thief. 😛 Guess she won’t be hiding behind “my *insert helper role here* did it!” at least.

    • doncalifornia

How did you identify this as her?

      • doncalifornia

OK never mind, I see a photo for Destiny Devereux Photography on this person’s personal page

  • I’m calling inspiration on this one!

  • Guest

Dear Destiny, you fucked up. Apologize and fix it. No excuses or lies please. The lies and excuses never ever work. Thanks, your neighbor.

    • peaceetc

That would be awesome. Destiny, please go this route. Excuses never work — seriously, we’ve heard them all. Just take down the stolen images, apologize to the photographers from whom you stole, and accept the consequences of your actions.

  • Guest

    She knows, comments hidden.

  • Just a Girl

    Facebook just went down.

  • Jackson

She worked for the Australian and NZ defence forces as a photographer??

    LOL

I might just email them so they can check into her claims.

She also goes by quite a few names.

Isn’t it a criminal offence to falsely claim you worked for the armed forces?

      • Cinobite

It’s probably also a criminal offence to use so many alias’s – identity fraud? Hell you murkans sue your parents over a hot cup of coffee, I’m sure there must be a law against it 😛 😉

      • MPR1776

        Unfortunately it isn’t a crime

        • C Sab

I think it is in the US. Should be a world law. 😛

          • MPR1776

Only if they claim to be active duty, otherwise not a crime to lie and say you were a Vet. Seals are trying to get this changed because they get lots of impersonators.

    • doncalifornia

      And Metcalf

  • Desi Graziano

I apologize for using work that didn’t belong to me. Hopefully those of you affected will be able to move on from the incident. Again, sorry.

    • captain-confuzzled

translation: damn, you caught me. Hopefully you’ll just forget you ever saw it. rofl …..yep, moving on to sending a bill for licensing, etc, etc (no I’m not one of the photographers stolen from, but hoping those that were, do)

      • Cinobite

Translation; “Sorry, but this is your problem not mine, I hope you can all move on and not feel so bad about it, may Jesus be with you”

    • peaceetc

I’m glad you’re apologizing, but what you really need to do is reach out to the photographers of the images you were using and apologize to them. I would also strongly suggest educating yourself on copyrights and how it relates to photography, plus the penalties associated with unauthorized use.

    • Just a Girl

Dayyyyyyum, so you already contacted the original Professional Photographers, offered them restitution and publicly apologized to any past and present clients for duping them? You people in the South move FAST if that’s the case! I hope your reply is a joke. You are fixing to learn how serious all this is!!!

      • Guest

Fixing to, lol. Southern twang makes me laugh.

        • C Sab

Oh you’re in no position to be laughing at anyone. 😉

          • Guest

🙂 always here for you csab.

          • Guest

            ??? What?

    • Joseph Philbert

Well at least you admit your wrong doing..

    • peaceetc

In case it isn’t clear, using photos like you did without authorization from the photographers is illegal. They have the legal right to seek monetary compensation, especially since you used them to promote your business. Don’t be surprised if you get some letters from lawyers, and you might even face some lawsuits. It’s not as easy as removing the photos. It’s far more serious than that.

      • Cinobite

        Up to $150,000 PER INSTANCE!
        Could get costly!

        • Aaron Lee

“selfie” profile pic, and self identifying her own nickname of “dtrain”… I’m gonna go out on a limb, and say that this is not a HNW individual…

          • HNW

            hnw?

          • grrr

            High Net Worth???

          • Aaron Lee

            yup…

          • peaceetc

That’s a better than what shows up in the Urban Dictionary for HNW — hard nipple weather. 🙂

          • Joel

            ROFL!

        • oldschool

I think it’s actually 1,500.00 per image… that is what was established in court many years ago and has been the industry standard ever since, at least for lost or damaged images… where do you get 150,000 from?

          • Cinobite

I’m actually from the UK, so by all means correct me if I’m wrong, but it says $150,000 per instance here: Section 504 paragraph C2
(I initially read it on wiki under US Copyright Infringement)

            http://www.copyright.gov/title17/92chap5.html#504

          • Joseph Philbert

This is true but only if the image is copyrighted in the us copyright office

          • Cinobite

Ah fair enough, I told you to correct me if I’m wrong 😛 Hey, I bet she’s praying to the lord jesus that the stolen photos aren’t registered with the copyright office lol

          • A non ny mouse

They don’t have to be registered.

        • Don;t forget 2500$ to 25000$ PER INFRINGEMENT in punitive damages for removal of watermarks under the DMCA’s provision on digital rights management information circumvention.

    • Cinobite

lol, that second sentence is fantastic, a clear indication of what is to come.
She’s projecting as a part of the preamble to a superiority complex defence…. you watch…

      • C Sab

        Wouldn’t surprise me.

        • Cinobite

Read it again, she’s putting the problem on us, she doesn’t think she did any wrong 😛

          • C Sab

They never do. 😛 It makes me laugh.

      • MPR1776

I think you could be right

    • The Bad Wolf

….. yeah hopefully those affected “move on”………over to their local Copyright Lawyer and sue the heck out of you for being such an insincere little snot.

    • Joel

Here is my review on your apology:
It started off very well, and was looking quite promising.
Then the second sentence came in and ruined the plot.
And the ending was quite weak.
I left unsatisfied. I can only imagine what the people who have been stolen from feel like.

    • You are just fucking lucky it wasn’t me cause I would sue you to the full extent of the law! At the tune of up to 150000$ per infringement + 2500$ to 25000$ per watermark removed I would own every single thing of value you currently own!

I really do hope the photographers you wronged go after you!

    • Crushed

Hmmm… looking like prison is in your future unless you run off to a country that does not extradite. Good luck to you.

  • the stolen photos are used in advertising, which in turn leads to revenue.
the original photographers charge clients for the right to use those photos, so why are there never ANY attempts at monetary reparations to the photographers these people stole from?

“I stole your work and used it to make money for myself, but all YOU are going to get is an apology, because i sure don’t want to have to actually pay for the commercial rights to the photos I stole….Please leave me alone now.”

    • Because it’s too much hassle for too little reward to go after these people. That being said, I’d be going after them if you know … my work was worth stealing.

But I know what you mean … oh I’m sorry I stole your car … now fuck off. That wouldn’t go over so well.

      • Joseph Philbert

“I stole your car and used as a taxi to make money” 😛

  • No

Why so many identities? How many times has she been married? And Georgia again? really?

    • MJ

I know why…she has outstanding warrants in Greenville, SC and I am sure other places.

  • Guest

http://www.pinterest.com/destinygraziano/ I’m just a package full of YEEHAW! I was going to ask with the last name Graziano if she was related to the mob family. But I doubt it.

  • No

Linked in down. She’s hiding something.

  • junsphoto

She changed the name of her personal FB account to run away from it all.
She can run but she can’t hide. Here’s her new FB profile..

    • no no no no

profile down again. I wish she’d take those horrid sephia photos down.

      • Joseph Philbert

I don’t think she expected such a warm “outing” and removing everything.

  • No

  • Joseph Philbert

Fanpage only photgraphers freak me out lol!

    • Agreed! To me it seems cheap, lazy and unprofessional.

  • Darren Bradley

She worked for the commonwealth of New Zealand? This is going to her very “Flight of the Conchords” in a hurry.

    • Badsey Snapper

Commonwealth of New Zealand? New Zealand is in the Commonwealth as is Australia and a host of of ex-British colonies (not USA, you had a war with us and we took it personally)

      • Darren

Yes, I’m familiar with the term, as well as its historical and political significance. That’s why I used it. I wasn’t questioning the term- just her employment in that capacity.

(I am American, but have Canadian roots and also happen to work with in Australia.)

  • Michael Goolsby

Is this fauxtographer a complete delusional who believes her own lies, or just your standard fraudster? There’s an outrageous to her lies here that goes beyond regular photo stealing.

    • captain-confuzzled

i also find I am intrigued by just how fast she just completely shut down EVERYTHING! I guess with so many names, she is well versed in changing identities, a bit scary.

      • Joseph Philbert

All she had was a fan page smh

        • captain-confuzzled

I meant all the related stuff that Guinness mentions above. Just wiped away completely. It makes more sense to me when fauxtogs at least try to keep some part of their business up, not just, okay, poof, gone.

          • Joel

Yup, this must be some kind of new record. She disappeared very quickly.

          • Joseph Philbert

            Ohhh ok got you

  • Guinness

Facebook page, profile name changed, then erased completely, various linked in profiles, pinterest, twitter, Charleston and Savannah craiglist, panda hi all down within an hour. Only thing that remains is her flickr with some bad sepia pics. That must be a record.

  • grrr
  • captain-confuzzled

    like I said…scary

    • Joseph Philbert

Dam now I have to watch my back

    • C Sab

lol I say bring it on. That gun won’t do you any good if you don’t know where to aim it

” If a reporter says something about you that is false, it is classified as libel.”

      … that is FALSE…

Proof is above. It’s true. If you steal / borrow someone else’s photo to lie to your potential customers by misrepresenting yourself, then that’s a lie.

  • Crushed

Instead of admitting guilt, you should have consulted an attorney. You’ve destroyed your reputation, lost respect and trust. Too bad your children will suffer because of your stupidity.

  • Crushed

What’s with all the different last names? What else are you hiding?

  • wayasti

About the last names people: maiden name, 2 married names(1 husband past away) and her photography name.
Y’all are a smart bunch of bananas!

serious accusation there, hope you have some proof that it was her.

        • Justin Case

Absolutely. If there is proof, fine, but this site is about VERIFIABLE photo theft and fraud. If you don’t have anything more than a claim, I think you should remove your post.

      • LG

How can you be contacted with information?

      • Dev1996

        How can we contact you?

  • G31

She broke into my company owned vehicle and stole guns, money, electronics, stole uniforms and ally his from my house

    • denise

how can I get a hold of you?

  • Me, Myself and I

Denise, get your friend to get a lawyer on that. If it can be proven that she had no intention of delivering the goods she could face FRAUD charges instead of simple civil breach of contract.

Also, a quick letter form a lawyer along the lines of “You agreed to X and haven’t delivered. Multiple attempts have been made to resolve this issue (list them). Deliver by (2 weeks from date sent) or we will take legal action.” will only cost maybe 100$, probably less.

That letter will also be required when your friend goes go to court.

PS.: I’m not a lawyer, don’t take this as legal advice.

    • denise

well she was to be the photographer as a wedding gift.

      • Me, Myself and I

Aaaah … that changes things considerably. No recourse there … your friend can;t sue her for breach of contract for not having given her a wedding gift (even if she did promise).

  • LG

    Try 843-384-4692

    • denise

thanks but we have her #, she just doesn’t answer calls or texts and lies in peoples faces

      • Me, Myself and I

She either screwed up the shoot royally or something has happened to the files (hardware failure with no backups for example) … there is no other reason to delay so much.

        • denise

she probably deleted them, spiteful hag

          • LG

I would guess those photos are a total loss

          • Michael Goolsby

What a shame that, even after being outed almost a year ago, this wicked woman continued to operate. I’m so sorry she won’t even respond to you.

If I recall, this woman had other questionable behavior that lead me to believe that some might even be criminal. You might check to see if she is incarcerated somewhere right now.

          • LG

She doesn’t appear to be currently incarcerated. She isn’t on Perryclear either, she’s moved in the last two weeks.

      • LG

That much is absolutely true. Fits the category of Historonic to the letter. She has moved but is still in Beaufort. I’m trying locate to have her served.

    fripp island resort

    • MAM

Fripp Island is a private community. Unless you are serving court papers, you can’t just walk on it. However I am sure that the local private police would be interested in knowing she was warrants out.

      • U Really That Dumb?

Why would the Private Police (aka $7hr security guards) care? It’s the REAL police that care. They are the ones that deal with warrants.

        • MAM

They have powers of arrest and to serve warrants. They have the same rights and authority as any sworn office. The County SO cannot even enter Fripp Island, their jurisdiction ends at the bridge. So private security guards at $7hr….no, you are mistaken.

          • U Really That Dumb?

They only have that authority because by living in the community you agree to the CC&R’s of the HOA. Therein you agree to be held accountable to the hired private security contractor. They are not in any way, shape, or form, actual licensed police officers unless they are working there on the side from another jurisdiction.
Beaufort County, the State of SC, and the Feds still have the ultimate authority as Fripp Island hasn’t succeeded (as of this writing) from the USA.
Based on pending court cases, all of that will likely be falling apart. The Federal Courts have been crushing HOA’s “Like a little grape” (said with an accent and the fingers crushing head visual here). The cases are being followed by HOA boards and their attorneys all over the country as based on other districts case law, if they (Fripp) don’t loose, the fight goes to the Supreme Court.

          • U Really That Dumb?

But either way, it doesn’t matter in this case because she would get served and/or arrested by BCSO, State Police, or the Feds.

  • Erika

this gash stole our wedding photos!!!!! Don’t trust her ever……. she is nothing but a skank !!!!! she is nothing but a photo hack and con artist ….Bitch you can run but you cant hide!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

        • LG

          Yes

          • Dev1996

I contacted the greenville police department and that said that she didn’t have one.

          • LG

Contact the county, it’s a county warrant. Plus what name did you give them? She goes by like, 6-7 different alias.

          • Dev1996

I gave them the name Destiny Metcalf Bowen. They said she had several speeding tickets, but no warrant.

          • LG

Her legal last name isn’t bowen. It’s Rollins.
