Help! We’ve Got Kids!: http://www.helpwevegotkids.com/toronto/listings/birthday-parties/parties-that-come-to-you/inaflashca

It finally happened, someone was silly enough to steal an image of mine and put it in their portfolio.

PS:  If you interrupt the opening night of Deadliest Catch by stealing my images, I will be angry.

PPS:  You know how much I hate fake stories?  Yeah, this one has them.

Update 04/23/2014 @ 4:3PM EST

After almost an entire day without a peep from Julie aka In a Flash Photography, she finally posts to her Facebook Page about the incident.   Note that Julie has shut down her Facebook Page so that only people in Canada can see it.  Guess what Julie?  I have friends in Canada!

Yep,  she actually is claiming that I stole the image from HER.   Ballsy.  Too bad I can prove the image is mine.

The day that I took this image and the REASON I took the image that Julie of In a Flash Photography in Toronto stole is because the day of the engagement session a group of terrorists decided to try and blow up that bridge in the image.  During our engagement session, local news stations were covering the story.  It just happened that Newsnet5 captured me taking this very image during their live broadcast.  See the screen capture below where I’ve circled myself and the couple I was working with.

Just in case there’s still any remaining doubt here’s the RAW file and a few of its friends from this session.  I’m still waiting to hear back from the other photographers but I imagine they’d be able to show the same kind of proof.

Update 04/23/2014 @ 11:00PM EST

Since Julie’s continuing to deny that she stole any of these images I’ve added more images below that I have sources for.

Update 04/24/2014 @ 10:30AM EST

Last night Wix removed In a Flash’s website completely so now we’re down to just the Facebook Page that is still live  but she’s made the settings so that only people in Canada can view her page.    Here’s her recent update from her Facebook Page.

I had a feeling this was going to move into the typical “bully” and “death threat” stage so I started screen capturing everything posted to her page from the moment I posted this blog to the moment she blocked all outside of Canada from seeing her page.  Not one death threat or anything remotely close to one.

Here’s a sample of what was posted.  Click to enlarge.

Very few things surprise me anymore when it comes to those that are featured on Photo Stealers.  However, Julie is in a league all of her own.

Update 06/16/2015

Since March I have been getting emails from Julie once she found out my identity (around this time *someone* sent all past thieves my personal information).   They’ve progressively got more and more threatening until things came to a head today and I’m done with it.

Summary: Julie wants her post removed.  I say no, especially considering she still has stolen images on her profile AND she stole from me.  She claims her children are in danger, I tell her to go to the police.  Instead she continues to email me and eventually messaging me on Facebook and posting on my Facebook Page for my photography business.  Today she created an ad on the website Freelancer for a job asking for someone to take down this website.  I emailed her to let her know I was aware and she replies with a threat that if I don’t take her post down she’ll make a Ripoff Report.

She made good on her threat:

Original source ME!  Ironic backstory to this image: that bridge was nearly blown up that day and not only can I prove this image is mine by the usual methods (RAW file, clients and so forth) but there’s actually video of me by the local news station taking the image below as they covered the breaking news story live.
