One of the things I see time and time again is that new photographers tend to think nothing of putting up photos they aspire to take “someday” on their new website or Facebook Page. Sometimes they actually clarify they aren’t theirs but usually they don’t.

It’s always extra amusing when they lie like a rug in their about page. This photographer, who picked up a camera for the FIRST time in 2011, managed to photograph for Victoria’s Secret, Seventeen Magazine and Jimmy Choo that same year – while also winning dozens of awards if you believe his About page.

The cover image is also not his, at least he tells you this but ONLY if you click on the picture. Otherwise you are lead to believe when opening his page that these images are both his. Still shady.

Boy, this one is a doozie.

This ad captured someone’s attention and from there, the rest is history. PS – I bet she doesn’t have a permit to use New Orleans City Park for photo sessions.

What has been the most eye opening part of all of this is the way that the owner of Images by Eire Photography has reacted to the outing.

Also, watermarked or not, it’s still illegal to steal someone else’s intellectual property. As a photographer, the moment the shutter is clicked, you own the copyright of the image.

Here’s her admitting that while she did use the image, it’s not stealing, that’s totally a different thing.

So after her comments (there are more but I’m stopping before she starts dropping the f bombs, you can read the whole crazy thread here). Some members decided to peruse her gallery and shock! There are more stolen images on her page.

Most of the photographers have NOT been contacted by Rachel as of 6/9/13.

Can’t find the original source but appears to be a before/after from acne medicine NOT Photoshop.

These images are by my friend Jenna Cole whom runs the That Wife blog and are of her son. What’s creepy is that Jenna did not do the editing on the after… eep.
