Sassy Snapz Photography & Design

Another day, another thief.  This girl has almost an entire portfolio made up on others works.

Let’s start with her main URL then work to FB?

As soon as I saw this image in her opening slideshow I knew that there would be lots to keep me busy today.

Also? THIS PAGE SUCKS TO NAVIGATE!  SO SLOW!  AUGH!  Y’all better love me for pressing on through this beast.

One should also note the images with watermarks originally.  You can see her Photoshop skills at work where she’s carefully removed the watermarking.

image

I can’t find the original source but I feel safe saying it’s not Sassy.

image

Another image from her opening slideshow that caught my eye (IMHO it’s pretty easy to tell which are hers and which are not).

image

This image, seen here on Etsy, is by KB Photography.

image

Now onto her Portfolio.  See something wrong here?

image

Let’s investigate. I’m pretty sure the cover/first image is not Sassy’s but I cannot find the source.

image

This is Nicole Gagliano’s original work.

Next in the slideshow.

image

This is Today Everlasting Photography’s original work.

Another from Nicole Gagliano.

Yet another from Nicole Gagliano.

image

Unsure of original source, used in marketing so may be a stock image.  Seen here on We Heart It.

image

Onto the Babies.

image

This image is by Amy Robertson Photography, seen here on The Penny Candy Blog.

image

I can’t find the source for this image but I’m willing to take a stab at saying this is probably also Amy Robertson’s image.

Her weddings gallery starts with a slew of images that aren’t hers.

They are all originally by Chris Glennon Photographer.

image

Her info page is also very interesting…

image

Photographer info text is originally from Relish Photography.

image

image

Image is from Shannon Leigh Studios.

image

The text is from Diane H Photography and Megan Jacks.

image

image

She uses Shannon’s image again for the client page.

image

Back to the stolen bouquet image for her contact page.

image

Whew.  That was a lot.  Now onto her Facebook page, which I think has already seen some deleting since she was discovered.

image

Her about page.

image

Again, the info blurb is plagiarized.  This time from Kimberly Jewell.

image

Let’s start with her cover image.

image

The first image we covered above is from KB Photography, the baby image I’m 100% certain is stolen but I can’t find the original source.

image

KB Photography again.

That’s awesome. I think we should all share this. Soon she’ll have to take it down and show her own work. She has all those “fans” that belong to other photographers. Is she not proud of her own work? Disgusting!

  • Libby Stack

The clone marks on that Baby on the Rug shot to get the watermark out are just priceless. So not only a thief but a hack too.

Apparently someone was either absent her whole entire school life or is just a low life– Plagiarism is discussed from the time you start writing reports back in the 5th grade— and not to mention the theft another person photos– Did you really think that no one would notice? Use your work- Use your words- Not that flipping hard!

  • Shar

she hasn’t changed much on her site. pathetic. you can definitely tell her “own” work from someone else’s, and her photoshop skills need work! Yikes.

  • I’m getting flamed via text by one of her friends (who I suspect is actually her)..

  • MLee Kneer

Boy, the work in her slideshow today really took a step down!

    • MLee Kneer

Wait… I take that back they’re STILL THERE! WOW! BALLS!

  • Rachel

looks like the facebook page has been taken down. Darn

  • Pdemott

It looks to me like the bouquet photo is likely purchased from a stock agency. Was it on her portfolio? I did not see her water mark added to the photo. Just curious.

  • THis woman should be thanking Doug Gordon for his plagiarism, else people would probably be spending more time talking about this case.. hehe.

  • Harry Phillips

Oh for the love of god she has music playing from her site…. make it stop make it stop….

  • Wow, no shame. What gets me is when someone like this has lots of followers and is making decent money, and sometimes the people they are stealing from may not be doing as well.

  • Jaelyn Rae

WOW! I just looked at her website and the photos (only looked through the baby section) look like photos my 11 yr old son took (BEFORE post-edit) who is learning photography. I am a photographer and I recently had to take my entire site and FB page down because I kept finding my photos online, and in many cases cropped and nearly destroyed. It really makes me sad that others feel the need to stoop to such low-handed tactics. With all the time and effort they put into theft, they could alternately use that time to better themselves (and their talent) so they can produce their own works that are worth showing.

I would venture to guess that many of these are new photographers who wanted some photos to use in the interim to draw in clients while building their own portfolios – this was the excuse given to me multiple times when my photos were used. To which I tell them that instead of stealing, they should try what I did. I offered (no kidding) over 100 FREE photo sessions by posting ads everywhere I could for the purpose of building my portfolio and gaining valuable experience in the field.

  • What is sad is that it appears, based upon her Facebook page, that she HAS been photographing for a couple of years and she STILL hasn’t improved. She should take some courses instead of scrounging the net for images and text to steal. Additionally, she is probably making tons more than any photographer would make off of posting an image on a stock photo website.

Nothing looks as pro as on-camera flash! Cos’ photoshop can fix the red eyes, right?

  • Cass

LOL. She has converted over to selling headbands now!
