It’s amazing how many photographers pimp their portfolio on Facebook then get busted because of stolen images.  This is #2 for today that got busted this way.  This photographer has been posting her ad all over the internet and Facebook trying to drum up business.  There’s a TON of images here so grab your drink of choice and start scrolling.

Again, click an ad on your way out to keep Photo Stealers going.  Thanks!

Update 04/25/2014

Angel is back with a new name and more stolen photos.  Some people never learn or respect the art of photography.   The images are at the end of the post.

Update 09/30/2014

Angel is back under a new name of “Life’s Magical Moments Photography” and is still stealing images and putting her own watermark on said images.  Sources below.

Normally I don’t post the personal Facebook info but since she’s also using stolen images there to pimp her business I decided to check it out.  The multi image ads I’m just posting as they are, the sources are above.  This account also seems to be just for business so I am calling it fair game.

 Update 03/17/2014 @ 10:30AM

Angel is in the denial phase and has posted her excuse to her Facebook profile.  Currently her FB Business Page is down.

The problem with this excuse is that above you’ll see she’s added her logo to one of Melissa Jill’s images.   Then there’s all the ads with her logo in the middle  of stolen images.   Nice try!

Was she tipped off at all about your impending post? Maybe that’s why she put up that post with the watermark saying she just wanted to share a cute idea but doesn’t own the photo? It looks like she just put it up while you were compiling this.

    • Photo Stealers

Perhaps. I think the person that tipped me off had emailed some of the photographers so they may have already emailed Angel prior to my post.

      • doncalifornia

And now she is deleting and blocking as fast as possible. She just doesn’t get what she is up against.

        • Joseph Philbert

This is the fun part 🙂

  • doncalifornia

Also, on her facebook page, a post from a couple days ago, about how to choose your wedding photographer, was lifted word for word from Melissa Jill, whose photos she also raided.

  • Just a Girl

Oh lookie there! Barely 20 minutes and the comments are disappearing!

  • doncalifornia

Hey want to know what’s awesome? Her craigslist ad 😉 It is in the form of an FAQ, of course lifted almost word for word except her company name is placed where the other company name was. But what’s awesome is she somehow goofed and didn’t get the last FAQ question, just the answer. The question she left off was “Why don’t I just use a person charging $500 for lots of photos.” The answer is there, but really just looks like a summary of what the client can expect from her. So the last part of her Craigslist ad, right after how to pay her, reads: “What you will get are images of your one and only wedding day, taken from the camera and given to you on a disc. No editing, no professional equipment or lighting used, lots of dark blurry shots, no backup equipment available should something go wrong and no insurance in case the photographer causes damage or an accident.” Seriously I fell out of my chair laughing.

Here is the FAQ she stole: http://atomsphoto.com/faq/

and here is her craigslist ad: http://ocala.craigslist.org/biz/4351937573.html

    • Photo Stealers

I had a feeling with all the hustling she’s doing there had to be a Craigslist out there somewhere. Thank you.

    • Just a Girl

      LOL thats awesome!

    • Joel

BWHAHAHA, I take it all back, she is being 100% Honest here guys! Oh and according to that, the last words are: “Share this:TwitterFacebookGoogleEmail”. I don’t think we should let her down 🙂

    • Michael Goolsby

Excellent work finding that. I admit that I was intrigued by her multiple use of the spelling of the word “cheque”, a spelling one does not normally see in Ocala, FL! However, I was too distracted that she not accept credit cards to follow up!

    • Cinobite

      lol that is amazing!

    • Sloppiness will get a crook every time!

    • CrackerJacker

      That is HILARIOUS!!!

    • Greg Eigsti

      Good work!

    • Evi

      Okay, now that’s pretty funny!

  • Joseph Philbert

Wow she is deleting comments as fast as you can type them ha…. She will get tired.

    • Photo Stealers

One would think, I’m impressed she’s kept it going this long. Then again, she’s definitely been hustling hard so may not be willing to give up on the dream so quickly.

      • Joel

If only she tried legitimately hustling. Instead of stealing.

  • captain-confuzzled

just sayin…(from her personal fb page)

    • Joseph Philbert

      Irony!

    • Amber Kost

I died when I read that! Lol

    • haha technically no one gave her anything, she STOLE it. 😉

  • captain-confuzzled
    • Cinobite

Reported for using a personal page to represent a business 🙂

  • Stephanie

She is deleting and blocking people FAST! Guilty much!?

  • doncalifornia

    Personal FB page is down

    • Amber Kost

It’s back up, I just looked at it

  • Stephanie

She took her twitter page down!

  • Justin Case

Stop running Angel. It will just make it worse.

And learn from Chris Jones: don’t make promises you can’t live up to:

    • Cinobite

I wouldn’t be surprised if there was some US Law that stated that competitions have to be honoured – you know, to stop people getting entries and doing a runner.

      • doncalifornia

I am sure there is such a thing. There are rules about games of chance, lotteries, raffles, giveaways, etc. That’s why there is so much fine print when legitimate companies do it. I would be afraid to do such a thing unless I consulted a lawyer first. Really!

        • Cinobite

Certainly using any facebook action (like, comment, share) for a competition is completely against facebook’s terms. Although they shit on the little guys and let the big corps like Pepsi etc do it.

    • C Sab

150 likes huh? I read 95 on her page now. She’s losing clients fast.

  • still lots of stolen images in her angels-touch-photography facebook page

  • LoLTonelica

Her official page still has stolen images up. Facebooks are down now.

  • Justin Case

I was all set to write a nice, calm letter to Angel pointing out she seems young and we all make mistakes but it’s how we deal with mistakes that make us…blah, blah, blah.

Then she goes and pastes this horseshit: “ITS
MY TRUE PASSION … lesson learned DONT SHARE ANYTHING BEAUTIFUL…
NEVER once did I claim all of the photos posted… LETS PUT IT THIS WAY
from here on out I will make sure all my photos that are listed are only
mine other than my Blog pictures .. If I want to share something
beautiful I will let you know if it is my picture or not …. LOVE YOU
    ALL…. 🙂 ”

Facebook business page down, all negative comments deleted, ‘I’m a victim’ ‘people are mean’ ‘I didn’t do anything wrong’ all while leaving her webpage up and full of material she obviously didn’t take …pathetic, pathetic, pathetic.

    • Have we gotten a bingo yet? Seems like we have a lot of boxes checked.

    • Her story is BS. She removed or cropped out watermarks and added her own. That is all.

    • Joseph Philbert

      Called denial..

    • Joel

Ahhhh The “Victim” angle… got to love it.

    • VSB

Typical infringer behavior – we, the owners of our intellectual property, are the “bad guys” not poor little ol’ them. So sick of the BS! Never give any of them a pass, excusing their behavior as “youth” and “ignorance.” They know full well that what they are doing is wrong and simply think they won’t get caught.

  • Michael Goolsby

    Like Justin, this one hurt…

Angel has an online presence that comes across as genuine, sincere, and honest. So much so, in fact, that I went to her website myself and did a search on almost every image there. When I saw the photographs of Georgia colleague Lynn Brown appear repeatedly, I even considered that MAYBE, HOPEFULLY, she had worked with Lynn at some point and that there was a bit cross-posting going on with some of the pictures. But as picture after picture came up showing so many to be the work of other photographers — including the superb Michael Sowa of New York, my heart sank. Shortly, it became predictable which photos would be hers and which belonged to other photographers. So I ended up writing to Angel a private message pleading with her to handle this matter properly. I sincerely hope that she does, too.

    • doncalifornia

So far she has handled it horribly. Despite messages to her from more than one person that she best start apologizing to photographers whose photos she used without permission, payment, credit, anything… she has just made excuses and skirted the truth entirely, blocked everyone, and then finally disabled the account. What a mess.

  • guest

deny deny deny, that always helps right?

    • she still doesn’t get it …

“If I want to share something beautiful I will let you know if it is my picture or not …”

      She needs to read
§ 106 . Exclusive rights in copyrighted works
§ 106A . Rights of certain authors to attribution and integrity

      • Cinobite

All it takes is for her to say “this isn’t mine, what do you think of the idea” or something and it wouldn’t be so bad and fall under fair use / review. It’s the pretending it’s their own work that’s the big problem. Let’s face it, we all want people to share our work, we just don’t want them claiming ownership or using them for commercial use

        • VSB

Even if she had said “this isn’t mine” it would not have passed muster as “fair use.”

          • Cinobite

It would depend on how she did it as it could be displayed as per review. Obviously, she’s not that intelligent though and what she did was just a blatant rip 😛

          • Joseph Philbert

            Yep

    • Joseph Philbert

      Such bullshit..

    • doncalifornia

It’s always puzzling when these people are caught, that it does not dawn on them that no matter what they SAY about how and why those photos got onto their pages, the FACTS have been screenshot and recorded. I mean, I am puzzled that they insist on pretending “I didn’t claim those as mine” when their PROFILE PIC for their business page is a collage of photos they took from other photographers, with their business logo above the pics, and no editorial commentary attached. It’s mind-boggling. And then to say ‘wow, eventful night, everyone is claiming I stole pics!’ is hilarious. People.

    • Michael Goolsby

Sad… the lesson she learned was “don’t share anything beautiful”.

If it had ONLY been her Facebook, I might stretch things and give her a pass. But when the vast majority of her business website consisted of other people’s stuff, I’m sorry, but it’s not sharing… it’s stealing. And I think she knows that, too.

  • Rick James

Looks like she is listening… Website was changed around.. When people are desperate and want to start out they sometimes make stupid decisions… I have to say though , of all the ones I have followed here.. This one is QUICK to get stuff off… Probably took weeks to put it all together and half is down in hours.. .. Good.. Now go take more of your own photos and do it right!!

  • Photomedic

posting pictures on your “business page”, not giving credit to the photographer, and letting people THINK its your work, is called a lie of omission. it is no less fraudulent than if you had put your own watermark on the photos. Its pretty amazing how fast someone can delete comments, block people, and remove photos.

  • Michael Goolsby

I’ve never understood this… if the person genuinely believed they did nothing wrong, then why bother to take anything down? Removing images is essentially a tacet admission of guilt… or at least liability. So why in the world do we all have to go through all the “I’ve done nothing wrong” and “I’m just a victim” routine every single goddam time??

I had high hopes for this woman. I honestly think that many here were rooting for her to handle it the right way. She seemed like a nice person, and her FB was filled will some genuinely inspiring wisdom. What a massive shame that the wisdom on display did not carry over into real life. On the other hand, if she had really been wise, would she have so easily used so much first rate work belonging to others when her own experience, as evidenced by what was left after “the culling” was clearly so lacking?

  • Lynn Brown

Thank you everyone for the work you have done. I had no idea how much of this goes on. I was contacted this morning by a fellow photographer and made aware of my stolen images. Gee whiz, this Angel Harris had made up 80% or more of her wedding gallery images from either my images or my associate Raven who does her own wonderful work but has helped me at some weddings and is showcased on our site. I checked backed by 1:00pm EST and found that my images were gone from Angel’s website. Here is the message I just left Angel:

Glad you decided to take my images down because I had consulted my lawyer this morning and was awaiting counsel and I was most definitely planning on pursuing you hard through every legal option available and I had deep enough pockets to do so. I would highly suggest that you only post your own work or if you need to purchase images go to a stock photo image site and purchase images.

    Sincerely,

    Lynn Brown

    • Cinobite

      You still should

    • Photo Stealers

Removing the images doesn’t change a lawsuit, you can absolutely still sue and win. She still has images around the internet, it’s not all down.

    • Big Bhad Wolf

It’s a shame you had to find out about this site because you were stolen from. If you persue this legally, I wish you luck! These bottomfeeders need a good kick in the arse!

    • VSB

“Copyright 2013. Angels Touch Bridal Photography. All Rights Reserved.” at the bottom of her web page. Don’t you just love that?

    • Joseph Philbert

Most times they don’t learn until they feel it in there pockets

  • Cort

I wonder what her employer thinks about her getting caught stealing?

Seems like this might be a big problem for all the folks stealing images that have other full time jobs.

well tonight has been a work of art on here I went from posting helpful tips and hint to people saying I am stealing photos , 1st and foremost if I took a picture and it was not mine its because I thought it was pretty all of my pictures are stamped with my Angels Touch Bridal Angels Touch Photography, Wedding,Bridal and engagement photographer…. IF a photo is mine I will tag it with my logos…… I don’t post many of my brides here on line, but I do have full wedding albums and ect so show my brides to be … love what I do” ITS MY TRUE PASSION … lesson learned DONT SHARE ANYTHING BEAUTIFUL… NEVER once did I claim all of the photos posted… LETS PUT IT THIS WAY from here on out I will make sure all my photos that are listed are only mine other than my Blog pictures .. If I want to share something beautiful I will let you know if it is my picture or not …. LOVE YOU ALL….

    • Joseph Philbert

      Just one picture ?? Lol

  • Sarah
  • VSB

    Oh my!

    • Big Bhad Wolf

^ Easy to say until you get smacked with some legal action I guess!

  • Michael Goolsby

Angel’s story should be considered a good example of how EASY it is today to build a “business” out of thin air with nothing but a cheap DSLR, a “passion for photography”, a free website host, a total lack of oversight, and an internet full of other people’s beautiful photography to kick start the whole thing.

While I cannot mitigate her behavior, I can find her to be more naive than malicious. She had no idea what it meant to be a real professional, and no idea of the seriousness of claiming to be something that she was not. It’s disappointing to see that she is still trying to play the “I was just sharing beautiful pictures” card. But I think she has found herself into something far bigger than she realized. We can only hope that her story serves as an example to deter others like her in the future.

    • C Sab

It’s ridiculously easy these days. All you need is a bunch of blindly loyal friends to support you and defend you no matter what and praise your shitty images.

  • C Sab

Looks like only her images left on her FB business page….and they suck. Badly.

  • She is still using a stolen image on her website. Her home page shown below and the original shot. Obviously she is not learning from this!

    • Michael Goolsby

Geez, that was the only decent shot on her website! Now I see why she kept it. Is this absolutely cluelessness, or perhaps simply an awareness that without this one good picture her website is reduced to crap?

      • no way it can be cluelessness now. I just don’t think she cares. Her facebook avatar is also created from a stolen image! lots of people have used same image of the camera lenses and added their selfie to the middle so not sure where original came from! Obviously wants to appear to be shooting with L lenses

        • Michael Goolsby

That could be some sort of software template.

But with the cover photo (of all things) being stolen, this means that her website has a grand total of TWO photographs of her own. Pretty bad. And the Facebook page for her I saw features plenty of poor photos of the same wedding, which tells me that she’s probably only photographed ONE wedding before. Wow, what an expert. For a while, though, with so much stolen work on her pages, she probably enjoyed the fantasy that she had created all of it herself. And as long as potential clients aren’t falling for her deceptions, I don’t see where it’s causing an inordinate amount of harm. (Real clients tend to want to see sample albums, slideshows, and a heck of lot more than just a few bad pictures from one wedding before plunking down a thousand bucks and more.) It’s when other people get swindled by that fantasy that I get upset. Wedding photography involves an awful lot of PROBLEM SOLVING that requires technique, knowledge and experience. (I suppose, though, that if you don’t know the difference, it’s not much of a challenge.) Most of these fauxtogs haven’t yet acquired these things — after all, they only recently bought their Canon Rebel — so there wouldn’t be much problem solving actually going on.

But again, if there were doing much business in the first place, they wouldn’t be having to steal someone else’s work.

    • kelly

I spoke with Angel she is a very good person, has a very beautiful heart . she had done my sons wedding and she had done my daughter’s wedding , her work is very nice also just for the record she never once claimed to take pictures and say they were her own , when I have met with her she always said she liked and shared pictures that she thought would be nice to take, she never claimed them as her own , she shared to get ideas. I spoke with her this morning and she said she was not going to share anymore pictures of any weddings and asked me if she could share the pictures of my family’s wedding photos that ‘she took”. and she will only be posting from now on her own work. . she took down every ones pictures down . Just let her be … she is a beautiful person inside and out. thanks. Kelly

      • JM

Where are these photos Kelly? Why not share? Obviously, she hasn’t taken down her STOLEN images that she put HER watermark on, which is an absolute way to claim a photo as yours. The proof is above, try reading it.

  • LoLTonelica

The kissing couple with their hands held in the air are still plastered on her facebook with her contact information on them. She’s also been posting images that she “likes” and then commenting that they’re not hers.

  • kl

She’s now begging for reviews for wedding wire on her Facebook page in order “to help future engaged couples” find her. She hasn’t’t stopped or let this slow her n. Still advertising with stolen photos. And still trying to get more clients.

    • JM

We should send this thief’s story tio the local newspapers and news stations. It’s a great story with undeniable proof. I hate how she’s still trying to keep her business going in spite of still using stolen pictures.

  • Kelly

So you don’t find it all all strange or unethical that nearly the entire content of her website and advertising was using other people’s photos? Including the splash page?!Just take a look at the screen shots above. If you say no, then I have to ask… would you also find it normal if your local pastry shop used images of pastries that they did not make in their ads? How about if Ford used images of Porsches to sell their own cars? When you place photos on your website next to your logo with no photo credit, you are not just sharing pictures you think would be nice to take. You are letting people believe that you took those photos and that they represent the work that you would provide.

      • Marc W.

Yeah, it’s like going to a plastic surgeon with ads of photos of how they would like their surgery to turn out. Yeah, RUN.

“Bring your car to our body shops… See the photo of this car? Yeah, we are using these photos from another body shop so you can see what we’re striving for [and not of work we’ve actually done].”

    • she is not sharing pictures she has taken someone else’s photograph and is using it on her website where she is advertising her services as a photographer. she is a thief and a liar. I will leave her alone when she removes photos that do not belong to her from her website. She is lucky she is not being sued by the owners of the photographs. This is a crime, sorry if you cannot accept that. If you stole something from a shop and refused to give it back do you think you can do it without any comeback. She needs to take ownership of her theft and do the right thing. If it not your image then you do not take it and use it on your own site.

      • Marc W.

Looks like the website is pretty bare now… What’s left if a LONG deviation of of quality from what was stolen.

        • yup. The main splashbage image though on her website is not hers and she seems unwilling to remove it.

        • CrackerJacker

I just looked at the images on the Facebook page. My god, they are poorly lit, poorly composed and out of focus. If I were the clients and saw these results after what her website promised, I’d be astounded. Then PISSED!

    • JM

Where are these supposed photos Kelly? We want to compare them to what she’s been advertising? WHERE? WHEN she removes watermarks and then adds her own, posts the photos that do not belong to her with her watermark on CRAIGSLIST to advertise HER business…she is not sharing beautiful pictures…she’s STEALING THEM and using them to represent HER business. Guess what? THAT ad is still up. It’s all cutesy to have friends and family lie to protect her, but it doesn’t change the TRUTH.

    • Melinda Potter

She may be a wonderful person, but she’s a bad photographer, and still hasn’t removed all the work that isn’t hers from all of her marketing. Thats the part that makes me wonder what a good person she is. It’s ok that you feel differently given “she had done” two weddings for you, and you’re happy, but don’t expect people here to share the same feelings as you do when up above is all the proof anyone would ever need to know “she done” wrong and still hasn’t tried to make it right.

    • Darren

This explanation is completely disingenuous – it makes me cringe. As a friend and client, it may be more convenient for your to believe what you like. But at the end of the day, the emperor still has no clothes and it’s obvious to anyone who’s taken an objective look at the evidence.

      • Justin Case

no clothes, but a whole lot of aliases!

    • Joseph Philbert

What ever….. She still stole the images and still doing it

  • John Rutherford

”Enough” let me just say this and I will leave it alone. Angel has been a client of mine over the last 13 years . I am the very person that build and created her web page . I am the ones who went and got the pictures for her . She takes great pride in her brides and what she does. however If you want to call people names that’s fine, name calling is cheap. As per her website that is a stock photo as her background . I have removed all stick photos /pictures as per her request . However most of those if not all of them are being sold to web builders such as my self . I am the one who supplied her with 99.99% of them and if there is a problem with this than you all need to take it up with the stock photos/ web building companies. I build web sites world wide and do all kinds of photo listings and I have used every single one of these photos on 1000s of web sites . I don’t feel you need to lash out at someone who had really nothing to do with this matter. I will be re-doing Angels site and don’t worry SHE will use all of her own photos . she has expressed her feelings to me about this and she paid me for the photos . she also said she shared a handful of helpful tip and pictures that she likes . Angel understands , I did explain to her that these photos are stock photos she can not be sued for photos that I can show proof of purchased . and I will make sure that she does not used them on her sites as she has asked .so if you see others with photos like these please reach out to the web builders because they are stock photos that ”I as a web builder” have purchased my self for my clients to use free of charge. so be for you keep cyber bulling her come to me . feel free to contact me anytime . John Rutherford
    jahn_rutherford@yahoo.com
thanks for your time. have a great day.

    • CrackerJacker

So you are admitting that you are responsible for removing watermarks from images and using them on this website? Just checking, it will make it easier for the copyright holders to get their money from you.

    • JM

John=Angel if anyone hasn’t figured it out… lol

      • Melinda Potter

I think Kelly = Angel as well, but it’s just a guess

        • Photo Stealers

Have no proof since Angel hasn’t commented but John and Kelly are from the same IP

          • doncalifornia

John and Kelly’s writing both have a tell-tale punctuation issue . Note what I am doing in this message . They both do the same thing over and over , i think it’s funny she is spending so much effort trying to pull off more fraud and deceipt …

          • doncalifornia

And finally, see Angel’s punctuation in these posts on her own facebook. Ta-da

    • Melinda Potter

Some of the photos listed were not stock at all. Good story though. I think this might be the first time the infamous “web designer” showed up to converse with us. Usually they are just made up scape goats. I’m sure it’s not the case this time though 😉

    • JM

And NO, these aren’t stock images that have been purchased. They were stolen. You aren’t the first one to try this, nor the first one to create accounts under several names/emails to try to pretend it wasn’t you. The thing that you can’t quickly throw up? An internet profile. A business profile. Names, connections, etc…which as it happens “John Rutheford” doesn’t have. More of a discrepancy considering you’ve been in the internet business for over 13 years. You were busted stealing photos off the internet, you have been caught plagiarizing on your site, do you not think people are intelligent enough to find out the truth? That the same people who busted you can’t do internet research? You don’t seem to get all of this crap feeds the fire. Your name will FOREVER be splashed across the internet as a thief. No one will google your name and not see the truth. YOUR business will be forever marred and known to be a fraud. Local photographers and venues have been notified about your fraudulent activities. You are not helping yourself.

      • JM

Oh and feel free to add 10 of the business websites that have the real photographer’s work listed above with the original sources. Photo stealers will state when something is stock. But that’s just another example of an obvious fail Angel.

      • Melinda Potter

Not a thing online for this guy lol Really funny considering what his occupation is supposed to be

        • CrackerJacker

Wait, did you search Jahn_Rutherford@yahoo.com or John Rutherford? Not that either returns anything, but you’d think he’d get his email address right….

    • Melinda Potter

oh and I just went through and reread all the comments here. The only “name” she/you were ever called was “thief”. it’s accurate and truthful, not malicious or petty, or “cheap”

    • Marc W.

“John/Jahn” is such a good website builder. They even use his design at GoDaddy.

      From code:
      …. content=”Starfield Technologies; Go Daddy Website Builder v7.0.80″ ….

    • Joseph Philbert

You built her site? You are a douche bag and a thief … You need to reevaluate your ethical code.
As a web administrator why are you plagiarizing your work!!

    • Joseph Philbert

As for lashing out as a photographer you she should have known it was not her images to use … And why remove the water marks

    • Joseph Philbert

I love “proof of purchase” but can never show the proof

    • Just a Girl

      HAHA most excellent Friday laugh!!!!

    • doncalifornia

      OK Jahn.

  • JM

I wonder which person she’ll invent next to be her scapegoat or fervent supporter? LOL

    • CrackerJacker

You know, for all he’s invoked, Jesus has yet to make a personal appearance…

  • JOHN RUTHERFORD

JM / wedding Stealers , I have obtained your information after all I work in this field . so I will say this as to protect my client and her business I am asking for you to ceased and desist . I HAVE REMOVED ALL PHOTOS FOR MY CLIENT so let it rest . You are a cyber bully and ”I own the right to all these pictures” and I MIGHT just go and sell them my self . I am reaching to all the other wedding company’s that you have done this to here on this site … its WEATH of potential customers. thanks for the business …We are going to build I really beautiful site for you …. take good care.

    • JM

LMAO This one is funny. You haven’t figured it out have you Angel? Read the comments to your last silly post, and all of the inaccuracies in your story and the fact that Your John doesn’t exist. It’s not difficult to find out. It’s not hard at all to research. Takes 2 minutes. You chose a poor leading character for your story with enough holes to drive a semi-truck through.

    • captain-confuzzled

oooh, this is getting fun….reaching for popcorn….so you are going to re-sell stock photos. Sounds like a plan – only slightly illegal

      • JM

Slightly, kinda, absolutely. We should let the photographer’s of the stolen images know that Angel is going to try to sell their photos as stock images. lol

        • captain-confuzzled

especially if they’ve been used on 1000’s of websites lol

    • CrackerJacker

      1) PHOTO Stealers — no one is stealing weddings.
      2) You haven’t obtained anyone’s information. If you worked in the field, you’d know how that works.
      3) CEASE and desist. The other thing, while it rhymes, isn’t the term you want.
      4) You do not own the rights to any of those pictures, even the ones that are actually stock photos, you do not own the copyright (unless the stock service you work with has a REALLY bad business model) to them.
      5) The other “wedding company’s” (incorrect use of apostrophe and I’m guessing you mean wedding photographers?) have already made sites with stolen images, they don’t need your help to do that. But hey, knock yourself out.
      6) I is not equal to 1.

    • JM

OMG I just re-read this and am rolling now. Oh pllllease share this information on me that you have? Pretty please. Lol. (you really can’t even begin to imagine how funny that one is) Will you take it to the FBI and complain that I’m bullying you by telling the truth about your business and then making fun of you for creating fake profiles to defend your fraudulent activities? Again…pllllease do. God, I can’t quit laughing.

      • Joseph Philbert

Ok then we shall .. You had to shut down your account last time and we can do it again.. Dam douche

        • JM

Whose/what account has been shut down?

          • Joseph Philbert

Angels accounts and this was to john not you .. Dam iphone

          • JM

            lol

    • Darren

What’s with all of the quotation marks, by the way? Usually, that means that it’s either a direct quote from someone else or that you’re trying to imply that what you’re saying is not true… aaaaahhh OK, never mind. 😉

    • JM

Oh and before you try to build an online world for this John, Angel, be aware that anyone with intelligence can see if his online presence came to be 13 years ago or…oh I don’t know…today maybe? Just as it took 30 seconds for us to find out he didn’t have one to begin with. Save yourself the time and trouble, shut down your business, admit you were wrong to steal, and find something to do that you don’t have to steal to be successful at.

      • Just a Girl

He types like he is 13! Maybe he really meant he was born 13 years ago!

    • Photo Stealers

      Have fun with that lawsuit.

      • Justin Case

seriously, have you ever met a lawyer who couldn’t afford a paralegal to proof-read? Or one who actually made childish threats in the comments section of a website full of evidence of the duplicity of his ‘client?’

Seriously, I’m starting to feel like we’re teasing the mentally ill here…

        • doncalifornia

Justin, that last line, yes I was starting to feel the same way. I think she is disturbed. Something is seriously wrong with her thought process and she is not in touch with reality. There is no way a totally competent person would believe she could lie and fake her way out of this. No way someone with all her wits about her could think that her spelling, grammar, and punctuation fails would not be obviously visible as the work of one single person, across both of her fake personas and her own real one. Scratching my head.

    • Joseph Philbert

Do you need my address so your lawyer can talk to my lawyer?

    • doncalifornia

Just for fun everyone look at the post above by “Kelly” and look at the message here from “John Rutherford”. Note they write exactly the same way. They make the exact same punctuation mistakes, and I am not going to point them out because obviously Angel has no idea what I’m talking about, but it should be obvious to a majority of people reading the text. LOL!!

      • doncalifornia

oh, and, notice that Angel writes exactly the same way on her facebook.

  • cfw

Thieves, like these photo stealing scum and all thieves, if given the opportunity, will try every sleazy trick of the trade to escape detection and/or accountability for their actions. “I didn’t do it, the web designer did!”; “I didn’t know it was wrong!”; “I’ve taken all the photos down!” (when they haven’t); “Stop bothering me or I’ll sue you!”; “you’re a bully!”; etc., etc., etc. The thing they fear most is transparency and publicity about their deeds – so keep up the good work you all, exposing these people.
    cfw

  • Darren

It really is like when a little kid swears up and down that they didn’t eat that candy bar and is convinced that they’re pulling it off, when their entire face is covered in chocolate.

    • Joseph Philbert

      Yep!

  • Photo Stealers

    For those curious.

    • JM

Called it. One and the same. Have you seen the newest thing she posted on her business Facebook?

      • Photo Stealers

No, I was out of the office all day with meetings.

    • Joseph Philbert

Sad so SAD … Angel impersonating several others just to deflect from her foolishness. Hilarious!

    • Just a Girl

After looking at her FB profile and re-reading the fake comments here its beyond obvious that its her. The sentence structure, spelling and grammar are horrendous!

      • Joseph Philbert

Of course she will never admit to it … And keep talking about her dying mother to deflect ..

        • Just a Girl

Isn’t it just sickening that shes using that for any kind of excuse/reasoning for how shes handling this. Granted, people don’t normally act themselves when facing something like that BUT her dirty deeds have gone on longer then her having just signed Hospice papers. Honestly, I don’t think she will gain a conscious and do the right thing- that would make any parent proud- either.

  • captain-confuzzled

oh my, where to start – (and luv your new handle in your comment btw JP)! .. .hello my love….finding new web designers …passed few weddings…. seriously, I’m rolling here

    • Joseph Philbert

Ha yea that is my backup account 🙂

  • Joseph Philbert

    She remove my review…

    • JM

Same here and I did too.

    • Just a Girl

UNLESS she pulled one hell of a hat trick… the only review on the Wedding Wire site is fake. According to her FB page AMANDA is the name of the girl she shot on 2-22-14. According to Wedding Wire the Review is written by Kelly.

  • Photo Stealers

I got to hold the hands of both my parents as they died. Doesn’t mean I get a free pass to steal images from other people.

Also, probably not a great idea to call people uneducated with statuses like that.

    • Justin Case

The older I get, the more I believe it’s how you deal with the difficult things in life that defines you. And how you behave when you think no one is watching determines whether you are really honest.

    • captain-confuzzled

well, Angel/Kelly/John you came here today to post those incredibly strange comments earlier. I doubt that anyone here was paying a whole lot of attention to you until you did that. Seems kinda odd, since as you say, you have more important things to deal with. And yes, I recently sat with my dad as he passed, and funny enough, it didn’t bring out any urge for stealing or lying.

    • Joseph Philbert

Wow is she still looking for sympathy by misdirection??

    • Joseph Philbert

She is starting to piss me off..I feel like taking a more active role.

      • doncalifornia

Wait, she posted a Hospice receipt? This is her response to being called out as a photo fraud? Using a dead parent to play victim. While she says she has more important things to worry about, she’s spending a lot of time telling us all we should give her a pass because she just lost someone close to her. I truly hope she finds peace, I hope that if she needs help she gets it, and I hope she gives up pretending to be a photographer because it is only complicating her life and impacting hundreds of others in a negative way.

    • JM

My response which will of course be deleted….
I sat with my mom as she died and my dad died just a few months ago. That doesn’t give you any excuse to steal any more than it would me. People won’t overlook your stealing and pretend it didn’t happen while you go on your merry little way trying to continue to dupe brides. The photography world is a small one and very protective of it’s integrity. To steal from a few is to steal from all. Have your pity party, but try doing something with your life that you don’t need to steal to be successful at.
In other words…not photography. Your pictures are worse than amateurish. And no one in the photography and/or wedding business will ever respect you and no one will be able to google your name without learning the truth. Make your mother proud, and find something you can actually do with integrity.

      • Joseph Philbert

She deleted all of mines too … afraid to let others see her bullshit

  • Just a Girl

I hope the Amanda girl that had her wedding photos taken in Feb had a back up plan in place cause the ones Angel took absolutely suck! Some of them aren’t even focused correctly and the bride looks totally washed out. I’d be sad and quickly move on to really pissed and start screaming FRAUD! Poor girl!

    • doncalifornia

I would sue the everloving crap out of the photographer if I hired her based on a portfolio that was fraudulent.

  • Michael Goolsby

Once again, we see that the bizarre behavior is the norm for photo stealers. Obviously, the two are related, probably because photo stealing isn’t really about theft of property to the thief as it is a theft of identity, for the photo stealer is, first and foremost, seeking validation. When that validation is threatened, the photo stealer regards it as a three to very existence. And thus the familiar patterns which denial, blame, anger and victim all become predictably manifested.

    • Melinda Potter

There’s not much engagement or support/involvement on her pages at all, and I doubt she has many clients other than good friends. Seems she, like others featured here, have created a dream fantasy world of sorts to pretend in, and we are the proverbial pinch. She doesn’t seem to want to wake up, and is shutting her eyes as tightly as possible so she can keep playing. It’s very sad. I hope she finds something for herself someday that she doesn’t have to “pretend” to be. Everyone deserves a purpose.

      • Justin Case

While I generally try to stay away from long-distance psychoanalysis, I tend to agree with you on this one, Melinda. I don’t really see poor Angel ever actually being able to pull off this whole photography business thing, but it will take time for her to reconstruct her personality without it. Shame, but I hope she takes peoples’ advice and walks away from it now before picking up a camera creates horrible allergic reactions for her.

    • Joseph Philbert

      It’s an epidemic

  • doncalifornia

By the way, Angels Touch facebook page still says she is an “award-winning” photographer. That’s fraud if untrue, right? I wonder what “award” she is going to cook up to prove she is not lying in her bio info.

    • Joseph Philbert

      A factious award I bet…

  • Michael Goolsby

Well, Angel has certainly had sufficient time to make corrections, and she has not. Both her Wedding Wire and her CL ads still are chock full of stolen photos. Her Facebook page still features her original denial. And she very likely posed as different identities to try and support her lies on this site. I’m going ahead and calling it: Angel’s Touch Photography is not only an outright fraud and thief, but Angel Harris herself is an outright first class nut job.

I see that she is meeting a young bride this morning. Unfortunately, this bride is likely walking into a full-blown scam. Although Angel must now be cautious how she advertises on the internet, there is likely no limit to the lies she tells or the stolen pictures she uses in her personal meetings. This poor bride is going to be shown some first class photography by a total scam artist whom I would not trust to shoot a dead cat.

This woman clearly has little self-awareness or restraint. I sincerely hope that anyone from whom she stole takes legal action against her so that more people will not be scammed in the future.

    • Melinda Potter

Just went and checked in on her facebbok page and… I just shake my head. So very bizzarre

    • Joseph Philbert

      Delusional …..smh

  • Joseph Philbert

    What is “beast cancer”???

    • Justin Case

It’s what fauxtographers get when they get outed as frauds. I would thought that was quite clear, Joseph.

      • Joseph Philbert

        Lol!

  • Joseph Philbert

9 more weddings ??? Either she is lying and making herself look bigger than she is

  • rm

WTF…she claims she booked NINE weddings yesterday? How is that possible with the quality of her own images? Also, does the average legitimate wedding photographer book nine weddings in one day?

    • Michael Goolsby

She could mean that she booked her 9th wedding. She also said “next year”. So does that mean 2015? (I’ve already shot numerous weddings “this year”, 2014. I don’t call 2014 “next year”.)

Of course, this is likely just either part of her delusion, or just one of her ways of saving face after being outed. Or maybe something else entirely she she’s a complete FRAUD.

    • JM

Perhaps she’s doing 9 weddings for free? That or is lying her arse off to pretend none of this has happened…

      • Just a Girl

        Practice! 🙂

  • JM

Is there no one in Ocala to spread the word? Post flyers? Go to the newspaper to warn anyone naive enough to fall for her load? No one at all????

She has LOTS of Facebook groups listed on her profile that she is a member of, many of them are Ocala specific. Perhaps a link to this post to the admin of each group she is a member of would be helpful?

I actually think that is something we should be doing with every thief caught. Notify the admins of every photography group they are a member of on Facebook and let them boot them out of all the groups.

  • JM

Dude…check out her business FB page now. I’m laughing. I just happened on it and caught a comment before she managed to delete it. The Twila chick has the right idea but why is the crazy lady posting about google?

    • Joseph Philbert

You have to be f***ing me !

      • Just a Girl

LOL Cyber Bullying. LOLOLOLOLOL She must have forgotten that she did those posts from John and Kelly and stirred it all up again… AND she must have forgotten that had she taken responsibility and taken down all of the stolen photos that no one here would still be talking about her. Shes the one in control of when the chatter ends.

    • Just a Girl

What shes posting now is comical… all screen shots of this site. Will be interesting to see if she posts it ALL since all she had to do was post a link…

  • Joseph Philbert

    CLASSIC!!!

    • Just a Girl

I’m confused on the whole Goggle thing. That girl needs to step away from..something…

    • Melinda Potter

Did you read what you copied and pasted? “Can a person defend defamation in court?

Yup, with the cold, hard truth. Let’s face it, the truth hurts. If you sue someone for defamation (libel or slander) and they prove in court that what they said or wrote is true, you’re going to lose your case. Just because something is embarrassing or hurtful isn’t enough. If it’s true, you shouldn’t sue. You’ll only lose time and money and then ultimately, your case”. It’s good advice

Ya know.. If I had just signed Hospice papers for ANY family member…. building new Facebook pages would be the last thing I’d have on my mind.

Angel, all you have to do is take responsibility for putting stolen images on your Facebook and web sites. Going all bat shit crazy is not helping you at this point.

    • Joseph Philbert

      What you said!

slanderous than others. i know some of you will think this is very
stupid, but slander is illegal. …show more

    Update 1:
by the way, an anti furry website is a website that is againt people
who dress up in anthropomorphic suits, or like anthropomorphic
    characters.” (http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20091123024736AAz4V0d)

Before she quickly changed it to …

    • Joseph Philbert

I guess she never graduated from high school

    • Marc W.

I can’t find this FB page.

      • Justin Case

Neither could I. Most likely just more of poor Angel’s delusions.

      • Joseph Philbert

I guess she decide to take down after everyone started to “cyber bully ” her even more

        • Marc W.

          You misspelled “Laughing at”

          • Joseph Philbert

            Lol!!

  • captain-confuzzled

oooohhhh Joseph..it’s your turn to play on the FB page…..

    • Joseph Philbert

      I can’t she blocked me :p

    Rebranding Idea!!! Angel Dust Photography

  • itakephotosandstuff

Oh photos are not the only thing she stole….http://www.wheatoniowa.org/giving/guardian-angel-program.aspx

  • itakephotosandstuff

    • Guest

This woman is just horrible! Not only photos, but the logo she was using was stolen! It’s bad enough that she is stealing other’s work, but she stole from an organization that tries to help others, this woman is mad!

      • C Sab

Well it’s worse for her, cause the fact she stole a logo from an organization means bigger consequences.

  • Rick James

I left a comment before because I was following this link and it’s kind of funny how my comment was taken down because it was pro angel you guys are so funny I can’t wait to start looking for IP addresses and finding people . I actually used to watch this page and laugh but now that I see how you people act you are like a bunch of high school iDiots that never grow up… since she is obviously not educated enough to stand up for herself correctly I will make sure to get people involved that are this has gone way out of hand and just because someone does not agree with you does not mean that you have the right to act this way… Or we could go I could give two craps about her or you guys but after seeing what you do for real and reading everything I truly think she needs someone to stand up for her so I will be glad to find each one of you .. you did this to my wife and said photos were stolen when they were picture of my own children so I can’t wait to find each 1 of you and do the same to you thanks you want to laugh and make jokes 1 by 1 I will find you and your job and your businesses and do the same exact thing this will truly be fun… let’s see how long it takes for you to take this one of your website

    • Justin Case

wow. well, since you seem to be able to put a semi-coherent sentence together, I’m assuming you aren’t Angel in disguise. Sadly, you have completely missed the point and chosen the wrong person to defend. But please, by all means keep trolling and keep this alive, I’m sure it will help keep Angel’s delusions going.

      • Photo Stealers

After last night’s bender, I banned her from commenting.

        • Marc W.

Why ban? It makes for good comments and makes them look even guiltier.

          • C Sab

Cause then it never ends. They just end up spouting the same crap over and over again and it becomes a waste of time.

          • Marc W.

What happened to the post about the PS that their husband went crazy on here all roided up picking fights?

            That was a great post.

          • C Sab

Oh he was definitely on roids. Just more proof that the guy was tough online but in reality a complete coward. He was amusing.

        • Joseph Philbert

          Man no more fun:(

        • confused

Ooooh I missed the bender. Anyone got screen caps?

          • captain-confuzzled

oh bunches! look for the FB screen captures with the pink “STOPS” pic, those were part of the bender last night.

    • peaceetc

If you had seen what she did on her Facebook page last night, you wouldn’t be so quick to defend her. I sincerely tried to help her understand what the problem was, but she completely ignored it. I have no desire to make fun of her. I would seriously like for her and others who get outed on her to understand why what they did was wrong so they won’t do it again in the future.

Threatening to go after those who have posted here is silly, and makes you no better than what you have accused others of doing. I agree outright mocking others isn’t a good idea, and some here do take a bit too much pleasure in doing so. But most of us are just tired of people taking what isn’t theirs. It may not seem like a big deal to you, but what this woman did was illegal. It was not a victimless crime, either. Potential clients were mislead, the photographers’ copyrights were violated, and it was just wrong.

I wish Angel well. But I also want her to be held accountable for her actions. That’s all.

      • Rick James

Makes me no better … Because some of your people hear have acted unprofessional and made fun of.. Twisted things and didn’t use this as a sounding board for theft but as a place to make fun of and degrade… Wow .. If you don’t see that part you are not reading… But thank you for being one of the more professional acting people on here

        • peaceetc

If you’ll scroll up on the comments, you’ll learn Angel is still stealing photos. She posted stolen images today on her Facebook page before it was taken down. This lady has learned absolutely nothing.

Like I said, some of the commenters might go too far, but most of us just want to see those who steal from others held accountable. That is what all of this is about. I think perhaps you’ve waded into something you either don’t truly understand or you have an axe to grind. Or both, which seems more likely, considering the part about your wife. If your wife is truly innocent, then I would think you’d spend your time proving that, or finding a way to move on, instead of threatening others. If your wife (provided you’re telling the truth on that) was listed here, then it is far more likely she is not innocent, as I have never seen a single listing on here without ample proof of wrongdoing.

    • Joseph Philbert

      MY IP Address Is: 65.113.104.10
      FB Account : http://www.facebook.com/jphilbertphotos

Now what? Do you need my phone number also?

      • Rick James

I already had your info and business… Yours was at least out there and u didn’t act like a pussy hiding.. There are plenty of ways to deal with people.. You and Michael have businesses and could easily be affected.. You could be a light to people and actually help people grow.. But you act like unprofessional in educated assholes.. (Except in photography) .. If your lives where picked apart I’m sure you are not without blemish… Its a shame really… I feel sorry for people like you guys…

        • Melinda Potter

I admire every professional that speaks out against theft and fraud in their industry. We need more professionals to do just that. (Are you listening all you professional lurkers out there?! Have the courage and conviction to stand up for what you know is right). Not saying anything, not speaking up, not taking action, not protecting their profession from turning into a flippant joke, and leaving nothing but a crumpled up mess for the next generation? What does that do for anyone?
For hundreds of years professionals have helped pave the way for the next generation of photographers. Making photography evolve, change and better for every new photographer that succeeds them. The fauxtographers featured here piss all over that. They piss on the very title they have chosen to give themselves and try to take away any value photography has, because they themselves don’t see any value in it, other than making money off their innocent clientele. And you expect everyone to “Be nice, and help them grow”?! Don’t they need to make their own damn pictures first!? Maybe they should try actually being photographers and earn the respect of their peers first before asking for freakin growth. Do you think?! That’s what I think. Yet, each and every time a photographer is featured here, those two “assholes” spend time trying to get through, educate about copyright, photography in general, about business, and how to handle themselves and correct what they have done. Why?! Because they give a shit!! And it’s people like them that teach me, have taken me and others under their wing, and have helped us learn so very much about this wonderful craft and important profession. I have never been “bullied” or “shamed” by a photographer. Most likely because I have scruples and respect for what they all do. But I sure as hell have been called names, treated badly, repeatedly messaged, and treated to very vulgar behavior both publicly and privately by fauxtographers that I have simply said “take down the content that doesn’t belong to you. The original artists have been notified and screen shots taken” and linked copyright information for them to read. Who’s the bully? The people that mistreat the profession, or the ones that won’t back down standing up for integrity, ethics, and decent morals and values, and speaking out against fraudulence and illegal practices? I think you need to reevaluate your stance, but I know you won’t, because you don’t have the guts or enough integrity inside you to do it. You could change your posts to “come on who gives a crap?! Leave it alone already” because that’s basically what you are saying. People that give a damn aren’t going to be able to oblige you Mr. James.
Yes, I’m aware that that was a big giant sappy rant. But… You shared your opinion, it got to me, and I was more than compelled to share mine.

          • Justin Case

Actually, he is saying more than ‘it’s not important and you guys are just mean.’ He is accusing us – not being specific – of bullying, name calling and being fakes and liars. Ignoring that many have tried to help.

He is also threatening to attack peoples’ businesses and internet reputations. That is not the behavior of someone trying to help.

I completely agree with your sense of outrage and indignation. But I am happy to keep this conversation going, since I truly believe that it helps more than hurts.

        • Guest

No one is perfect, but knowing you are wrong, and being unable to accept that is just not right. Plus, I think it’s safe to say that Joseph hasn’t been going around google taking pictures that aren’t his and taking credit for them.

You feel sorry for us, but I feel sorry for Angel. She has made it clear that she would rather argue with a bunch of strangers on the internet, than spend time with her mother. That is truly sad, and I feel sorry for her. Then there’s also the fact that she stole pictures, and her company logo, so she might, and hopefully will, be facing charges for copyright infringement.

        • Joseph Philbert

Cool so I can expect a letter in the mail anytime soon. I with check the post office like a over eager blonde and horney college girl.

    • Not again!

Will you be standing with her when she has to pay millions of dollars in fines?
      I doubt it…

    • Justin Case

so, while this proud father and husband is busy researching our IP addresses, anyone want to guess who his wife we all ‘did this to’ is?

    • JM

Find me. That’d be hilarious. Photostealers does not put up innocent people. No one is posted without serious proof. Which either leads me to believe this is still Angel but at a different IP or leads me to question is your “wife” used photos of your children to promote her business but said photos were taken by a real photographer? That would still be stealing. Just fyi. I do believe, however, this is still Angel considering it only takes minimal effort to get a new IP address. As easy as going to a McDs with your cell phone and using their wifi to be exact. Considering the ridiculousness of this comment and the incredibly silly threats…Yeah, I’m going with Angel. That is her m.o. after all.

      • Justin Case

Probably right… did you get the poster’s pseudonym? Rick James, ‘Super Freak’ she is… super-freaky’ (I know, I’m dating myself with the reference, but I couldn’t help it)

      • peaceetc

That’s a good point. Even if the photos were of her own children, they are still copyrighted by the photographer, not the parent of the subjects. Unless the wife was the photographer, then she would need permission from the photographer to post them. But I highly doubt that is what happened. Photo Stealers doesn’t do anything half-assed.

    • captain-confuzzled

What does her education or lack thereof have to do with anything? She stole photos. This has been explained to her a number of times at this point, and she refuses to take responsibility. Defending a thief… that and 10 cents might get you a stick of gum. Clearly if your wife did the same, you are a great judge of character and we will all be poised to hear your sage wisdom. I’m on pins and needles…

      • Rick James

. You guys show your class… And some of the people making comments show you know nothing about photos that are sold to web host and stock photo company’s… Just because you find photos somewhere else doesn’t mean they weren’t bought or might of been bought in good faith… Where the web host or maker may not have had rights to sell… You never know a story.. You never know everything… But you pull the trigger because you do a google photo search… That’s easy but isn’t always correct..
This being said. There are some that are correct… This site should not be about being A vigilante. Should be professional and a light in the professional world.. BUT you guys do act like bully’s if someone says anything.. Not a professional.. Every photographer or professional of any kind started had a dream.. Made good and bad choices… Then grew up and became more wise and knowlegable… How great would it be to contact someone in private.. Give them a chance to not screw up there life and if they don’t take your advice and stop breaking the law if they are..then post… Could be a positive thing here…. But it seems like the photographers are afraid to be a positive person and because they were bullied as a kid they his behind the keys and make fun here… Its a shame really..

        • Guest

Mr. James, the whole point of this website is for it to act as a vigilante, the logo located on the top left corner states, “This wall of shame is dedicated to photographers that feel that it’s okay to steal others work and post it as their own.” This leads me to believe one of two things, either you haven’t been here very long, or you came here for the sole purpose of trying to get under this community’s skin, which isn’t going very well.

Second, this woman has yet to apologize for what she did. You can’t honestly say that the website “pulled the trigger” early on this one, there is an overwhelming amount of evidence against her.

        • captain-confuzzled

So nice that you find us so classy. Always a nice thing to hear. As someone who sells stock photography, I do know about selling stock photos and their licensing. You might want to take a spin around any of the stock agency licensing terms to learn a bit more yourself before you throw around suggestions about who is knowledgeable.

Next, you will find that those who are outed here as photo stealers are generally given a very positive response if they own up, make corrections and amends. Many people here offer much helpful info and encouragement when that happens. For those that continue to lie and steal, they don’t find much help. Whether they get a positive response is generally completely up to them, based on how they handle the situation.

And finally, Photo Stealers has made it clear that they are most often the course of last result, and that the thieves have usually been contacted multiple times privately, and have chosen to ignore the requests to take down photos from the people they have stolen from. Only then, are they listed here. What is a shame, is that you take perhaps a few comments that come across as harsh out of context of the whole story and then make judgements. Of course you are absolutely entitled to your opinion. And should you feel the need to “rescue” photo thieves, well, good luck with that. We all hope that in some way the thieves will simply stop victimizing their clients and other photographers, and make amends. If you can affect that, more power to you.

        • Justin Case

          Rick James is:

          a. a new imaginary personality of poor Angel’s delusional psyche

          b. as he claims, the husband of someone who was caught and outed here (although this claim has disappeared since ‘his’ first post) , but ‘he’ doesn’t want to tell us who or comment on his wife’s post so as not to bring up her crimes again.

          c. a troll

          • Rick James

            Or
D: a person who sees people like you and your comments and realize what a pathetic person you must be to see my comments and not be educated enough to read it.. But have to make some silly side comment because you know you have acted like an idiot .. I truly feel sorry for a lot of you… As I have researched a lot of you so far… I would of thought you were all photographers… But in fact you guys work manufacturing… Pepsi… Pep boys…cellular..sears Etc the list gos on… There are only a few of you that do this for a living…. You act like you do on this site but very few really are professionals…. Now I understand why some of you don’t act professional….. Not all…. I agree with some of you guys… And understand your anger…. I think some of the lack of knowledge by some has kept this going when this woman took her stuff down a while ago……

          • Justin Case

Fine. So I guess you aren’t the same Rick James who wrote “you did this to my wife and said photos were stolen when they were
picture of my own children so I can’t wait to find each 1 of you and do
            the same to you”

and “can’t wait to find each 1 of you and do the same to you thanks you
want to laugh and make jokes 1 by 1 I will find you and your job and
your businesses and do the same exact thing this will truly be fun”

So now, who is calling names and hiding behind his keyboard making threats? And please, no one here needs you to feel sorry for us.

You really want to help someone? Start by educating yourself: there are 70 links/posts/examples at the top of the page documenting fraud. The person who committed the fraud is now blaming the people who pointed it out. That is the lesson here.

          • Melinda Potter

Sorry, there is no stringent screening process that one must go through to comment on a public forum. Most subjects discussed online that deal with bad business, will get heated. PS is a little tamer than most, but there are some who lose their temper to a fault.
I think the best way to solve the “problem” you have with PS would be: don’t steal work from other creatives, or if you feel you must to run a successful scam, take the stolen content down, pay the creatives you stole from, and take the steps to right your wrong when you are first contacted and made aware that someone knows you have infringed and/or plagerized and represented your business fraudulently. Don’t ignore, demean, belittle, or meet the deliverer of the news (most times the original creator) that it is known you are illegally representing your business with defiance and attitude. Instead conduct yourself professionally and do everything you can to rectify the situation you created. When the jig is up, it’s up. It’s really the only solution. Stop it before it starts. Maybe with time this is exsactly what will happen. But, we all live in the real world and there are people with bad intentions out there, that will fight to keep going as they have been. Case in point: look above.
Btw photographers are not the purchasers and users of stock photography. Never have been, and never will be. They are the creators of stock, and stock images are not sold for that purpose and they make it very clear in the contract you sign when purchasing that you cannot claim creation of the image. Photographers make their livings from selling stock, not using it.
You may see a lot of grey, but it’s really black and white, and quite simple to understand.

        • MPR1776

Well, since the person in question is still using images that were not taken by said person and using them in such a way as to convey to potential clients that the particular image was taken by the person we are discussing on here, she still hasn’t grown up or done the right thing. So stuff it, she’s still doing the same thing, so contacting the person in private would do what? She’s been exposed as a liar and a thief and still is using work that isn’t hers to get other people to pay her for skills she does not possess. If she spent as much time learning her craft as she is doing combating her ineptitude and thievery she might actually become a decent photographer and make some good money.

          • Rick James

Hate to burst your bubble but yet another example of what I’m talking about… Pulling trigger and not knowing crap… That is a stock purchased photo that is on multiple web page hosting sites…. In English… Lol. When you host a page with square.. Go daddy etc.. And you purchase there hosting you are purchasing full rights to those photos…. That is one… Search deeper before you keep talking… That is all I can say.. This is what kept this all going after a few days… Things came down from what I saw and everyone kept it going…even after.. But it kept going because of a lack of knowledge not a lack of response ….go to square or go daddy and look up weddings templates…. That is why so many sites have that pic when you search … Took me 5 min to find that’s once you posted this pic again….

          • Marc W.

Stock purchase or not…. She used those photos to represent herself, a photographer, who is using those GOOD photo to represent herself. This is 100% wrong. How would you like to go to a body shop that uses photos of another GOOD body shops work to “represent” the work they do? Same question about a dentist office. What about a plastic surgeon? What about a wedding event planner? How would you feel if a planner used another planner’s photos to show how they “would like their events to look like” when they’ve never had any good results of their own? Fraud? Yes.

          • MPR1776

I direct you here, please read their terms carefully including the one that says Use Logo and several others http://www.istockphoto.com/help/licenses

          • peaceetc

You’re still missing the point. As a photographer, she should not use images taken by others to represent her photography business. It’s extremely misleading, and potential clients seeing those images aren’t able to accurately judge her ability since she isn’t showing them what she can actually do. In this instance, Angel’s ability is not on par with the other images.

Those templates are not meant for photographers to use them like they are their own work. So your argument means nothing.

        • JM

How you/Angel show us where these photos are being sold that have specifically been called out as non stock? Hmmm?

        • “you know nothing about photos that are sold to web host and stock photo company’s… Just because you find photos somewhere else doesn’t mean they weren’t bought or might of been bought in good faith…”

almost every single stock agency has the following clause in it’s licenses:

          4. Prohibited Uses

          (a) Prohibited Uses. You may not:

          use any of the Content as part of a trade-mark, design-mark, trade-name, business name, service mark, or logo;

If the Content is reproduced on a social media platform or other third party website, (i) the rights granted herein shall automatically be revoked in the event that the platform website seeks to exploit purported rights to the Content contrary to the terms of this Agreement, and (ii) in such event, upon iStock’s request, you shall remove any Content from such platform or website.
          source: IstockPhoto

Also of interest is this clause: All other rights in and to the Content, including, without limitation, all copyright and other intellectual property rights relating to the Content, are retained by iStock or the supplier of the Content, as the case may be.

So claiming you made these images infringes on the original creators intellectual and moral rights. A case could also be made for false advertising.

    • C Sab

lol Find us, we dare you. You’ll end up losing. Also the way you talk shows you as the idiot (not iDiot you dropout).

And it’ll take…an eternity for this to be taken off cause like I said, you will lose if you choose to fight back. We have indisputable proof this person is a talentless thief, you’ve got nothing. Also, we’ve had many people like you make the same empty threat about our IP addresses. I doubt you have the guts to go through with it.

      • Rick James

Guts… Lol. You are fun.. A pussy that hides behind a keyboard because you have nothing else in life… You are funny… Like i said… I don’t care about angels stuff so to say that you act like a highschool child that has to make fun instead of get your point across… If this was for helping people it would be full of class.. And professional… But the way you act .. You MUST not be a real professional … As far as finding you… :).. The photo stealing part.. Great you got the point across.. But when you all act like a bunch or kids making fun of people you take away your own reason for being hear and seem low class… When you do that It make people want to stand up for them … C Sab. I hope you work for yourself.. Because with your pathetic attitude.. An iDiot with a keyboard…lol

        • Rick James

Voice to text pardon the typos. :).

        • Marc W.

This.. must.. be Angel… writing … that.

          • Melinda Potter

I don’t think it’s Angel. After reading all his posts and him telling us his wife was also featured on photostealers, and the whole “I’ll get YOU” attitude. Rick James is most likely this guy http://stopstealingphotos.com/fun-flirt-aka-phoopla/#disqus_thread this is just speculation mind you. But, it sure does fit. If not, they are very similar types of people. They could be twins.

          • Justin Case

right, I doubt it’s Angel. Her IP has been blocked from logging comments, and judging from her past outbursts she wouldn’t have the patience to keep this persona going for so long.

I’m also not very confident it really is the husband of a photo thief, although there is no shortage of belligerent boys out there who will blindly follow their deceitful wifes down the darkened path. If it is, he should certainly stop calling us cowards and man-up.

You have accusations Rick James? Show us… who wrongly called out your wife as a thief?

No, my money is on a sad little troll who has had his fun and is now torturing cats somewhere.

Whoever you are, you’re not doing Angel Harris the photo fraud any favors.

          • Marc W.

            Ah,,, makes… sense…

          • JM

We need photostealers to do an IP comparison.

    • JM

You could only do the “same” thing if we steal photos like her and your “wife”. HOWEVER, as it happens, we actually take our own photos and in that situation, my special ed friend, you would actually be doing something illegal by lying about us. You are more than welcome to try, the lawsuit to follow would cover new gear for me. 😉 And for us, unlike your/Angel’s threats it would be a legitimate lawsuit due to real crimes being committed by you…not us. Just as she’s currently in limbo because any bride that has been unfortunate enough to hire her can take the evidence from this website and have a legit and winning case against Angels Touch Photography of Ocala for fraud. They could take everything she owned and then some in a big court case considering the vast quality difference. A new house and wedding for the bride if she were smart.Angel could be spending the rest of her life paying restitution. She doesn’t have a leg to stand on. If she’s very lucky the bride might only sue for the cost of her wedding….because, again, it would be completely within her rights to do either.

    • Obviously civility should be the order of the day, but you getting angry and posting threats is exactly the same behavior you are accusing others of. Do you really not see how that makes you exactly the same? It doesn’t make you a savior, it makes you a thug.

Have you ever been the victim of theft? you might not consider image or intellectual property theft a “big deal”, but some people do. some people’s livelihoods depend on the photography they produce. Im a Paramedic, so I only do photography as a hobby, but my wife is a photographer. She works hard, and we struggle to get work in an extremely competitive market. we have a registered business (which many do not) we pay taxes on every dollar we make (which many do not)
and for better or for worse, every single photograph in our portfolio is a picture WE took. with NO exceptions. Ever.

do you have ANY idea whats its like to spend years learning a craft? to intern under a wedding/portrait photographer for 5 years before ever doing a job on your own? to spend thousands of dollars on equipment, and then backup equipment…
Then, when you finally have enough training, experience and equipment to go out and start shooting under your own business, and you finally have a respectable portfolio of your own work….To have that hard work stolen and used so some newbie can get work faster. using YOUR hard work to make themselves money…

Its soul crushing Rick. absolutely, positively, without a doubt…soul crushing.

Im not going to try and justify people acting like assholes over it.

im not going to try and justify threatening anyone either.

I just want you to know, and hopefully understand, the degree of anger someone can feel when their hard work is illegally used to make someone else money.

Not ONCE, has ANY of the photo thief’s EVER offered monetary compensation to any of the photographers they stole from. what does that say about them?
what does that say about someone defending them? Try to understand that this behavior is basically telling the photographers whose photos were stolen that their work is worthless. meaningless.

THATS why people are upset Rick. im not saying its right, im not saying its even justified….Im just trying to make you understand “why” people are that angry.

      • Hey Photomedic, I was a Paramedic before i blew my back out on the job:( thats when i got into photography, which pretty much saved me.

  • Joseph Philbert

The Joys of not refreshing … I took some screenshots for those who may have missed the sycophantic breakdown on her FanPage. Its just sooooo funny what she posted. Wonder if she spoke to CJ “cheap jab”

    • JM

How would comments wake her children…but more importantly…what the hell kind of message is she sending her kids stealing? Also, somebody really needs to get her a dictionary so that she understands the difference between slander and truth. On a positive note, I know of several people who went ahead a sent every organization she’s a part of the link, as well as everyone on her friends list. Good for them for spreading the truth. More people should do it for these con artist types. From what I understand it was just a link so that people can understand what she was going on and on about….or at least get the full and true story of what she’s been ranting about. Nothing rude or derogatory. Just a sharing of truths.

    • Her grammar is just so so poor and not just these rants. She is clearly undereducated (along with some crazy) and it makes me wonder if she doesnt even have the aptitude to really learn photography. I think she may believe the things she is saying. Kinda like the undereducated who think their first amendment rights are being infringed because someone responds to or disagrees with them, ya know?

  • Just a Girl

You know what really sucks about this and proves how bad photo theft affects/could possibly affect other people- NOT just the photographers that were stolen from. There is another business IN Florida that is named “Angels Touch Photography” Both the good and the bad show up when in Google. With the bad pointing to this website I REALLY hope the one in Port Richey is not affected by this. I looked around her Facebook page and she seems to take her own photos.

  • Joseph Philbert

Her fanpage is back up this time as a photography page and it seems with at least one stolen image.

    • JM

Nope, I think that one’s real and the bride being https://www.facebook.com/jessica.n.masker every fauxtographer occasionally gets lucky if they spray and pray enough. Hopefully she got more than just those though.

      • Joseph Philbert

Oh ok … Well you know how it is after being outed, everything after the fact becomes suspect.

      • Rick New

Where is the “lucky” shot? That bride picture isn’t sharp at all and no light in the eyes. Why would anyone release that to a customer?

        • Joseph Philbert

Hey he was trying to be nice … At least it seems to be hers

        • JM

Apparently, they weren’t lucky and Joseph Philbert was right they WERE STOLEN. Wow.

          • Joseph Philbert

You notice that @disqus_TKgLPwHYw9:disqus has no comment 🙂

    • Photo Stealers
      • Joseph Philbert

YEAP I knew it this are the same ones I suspected that we’re beyond her skill level … Lol I can’t source images by phone way too hare 🙂

      • JM

Crap! I was surprised she managed those, but then I admit I spent all of two second googling. Lol

      • Melinda Potter

I think this is a case of negative attention is still attention. No one paid much attention at all before, and she found a way to attract some. I don’t see her stopping

        • captain-confuzzled

I call it the “CJ” syndrome 😉

          • Joseph Philbert

            DING DING!

  • JM

The facebook page is back and with a new wedding picture up. I’m fairly certain this is the poor bride. Hopefully Angel at least sprayed and prayed and got a handful of acceptable images that won’t shame the bride as badly as the last one.

  • JM

A friend sent me this template. Feel free to use it to comment on her photos/updates to get the truth out.

Be wary of hiring, associating with, and/or referring Angel Harris. She may or may not be a friend of yours but please do not be fooled. She stole the photos she has been claiming as her own, and before she could delete all of the evidence the avid photo stealers watch group caught a lot of screenshots to prove her theft. No, they weren’t just pretty pictures she shared on Facebook, she actually stole the photos, removed the watermarks, replaced them with her own watermark, and then created ads for her business using the stolen photos on places like wedding wire, craigslist, etc… She used the photos taken from real photographers to represent herself. She is now featured on Stop Stealing Photos. Direct link to follow. The page will have the photos screen captured directly from her advertisements, Craigslist ads, website, wedding wire, Faceboook pages, etc…. She has deleted all comments and disabled comments to stop people from calling her out with the truth of taking and using their photos. She has tried excuses, pity to excuse herself, creating fake clients(we have proof of that too) No one has been vulgar or vicious. Just straight forward and honest. Read the comments on the photo stealer page. Please spread the word to help people know the truth and not hire her based on lies. She may be a friend, but real friends wouldn’t let her destroy herself this way by continuing the lies and the scamming. Don’t join the scam. Help this lady do the right thing. Professional photographers worked very hard to learn techniques, garner respect, and get weddings for their business’. To have someone steal photos is incredibly shameful. Her excuses are equally shameful. To steal from one of us is to steal from all of us. PLEASE read all of the evidence that shows Angel Harris as the blatant liar she is. Yes, she’s the nicest person you’ve ever met. That’s the way of con artists, and she’s definately got a con going. The kind that can easily land her in jail at worst or to be sued for everything she owns at best. Her reputation is shot and as is and people who google her will learn the truth. Trying to pretend it never happened is NOT the way to get her reputation back nor will it make her a success as this will always follow her in the photography world. She needs another career. One she doesn’t have to steal to succeed at.

IF YOU HAVE HIRED HER…you have a legitimate case for a lawsuit and not only are you within your rights to sue but will win. The site below has all the evidence you need to win in a court case if you hired her while her fraudulent photos were being advertised. You would be able to sue for the cost of hiring plus any emotional damages. After all you will notice an extreme difference in quality to those she was previously advertising.

    http://stopstealingphotos.com/angels-touch-photography/

    • CrackerJacker

I’d be careful with that “not only are you within your rights to sue but will win” line.

      • JM

        I corrected it. 😀

    • Joseph Philbert

      Copying ..

  • captain-confuzzled
    • JM

Did she take those with her Iphone? The quality would suggest so. Maybe she was actually just a guest with an Iphone?

      • captain-confuzzled

could be, she doesn’t say that she was the official photographer

      • I doesn’t look like therr was any post processing at all. I doubt if she used any lighting, speedlight, reflectors, nothing. Not even posed for the best lighting. At least it appears that she didn’t use the pop up flash!

      • Joel

Not dogging here, but it seriously looks like it was a point and shoot camera. I truly hope these are not the only photos that couple will have for their wedding day.

      • Marc W.

At least they are hers. Let her quality speak for itself. Since she’s not stealing anymore, then we have no need to bash her pages.

        • Melinda Potter

Just 3 hours ago PS shared screen shots of her page with stolen photos taken from style me pretty. The shots are here in the comments

          • Marc W.

Yep, Sorry. I can’t view those images on FB on the computer I was on. I take it back. Carry on.

          • Melinda Potter

looks like FINALLY everything is down. Hopefully it stays that way, and when/if she goes back up it’s clean. Cuz this is getting old

          • captain-confuzzled

The FB link I posted above is one I don’t think we’ve seen before and is still up for me.

          • Joseph Philbert

I can see it… definitely HER images … whats so hard in creating a website and fanpage with just her images that she posted there?
Honestly what is so wrong her hard for her to do??

        • JM

No they weren’t. Apparently two completely newly posted photos were stolen from Style Me Pretty. She didn’t learn. I suspect she would try to pretend she shut it down and we’ll give up and never check back…less that 18 hours later.

  • JM

Oh, I just checked out the events section of her wbesite. Have any of you? Apparently she’s hosting a bridal extravaganza. Pay her money to be at her bridal expo to dupe more brides. Ouch.

  • JM
  • Joseph Philbert

She got the message and has finally shutdown her website.

    • Joseph Philbert

      Sigh

  • Not again!

Amazingly she still has stolen images on FB pages.
It also appears that her ‘private’ group (https://www.facebook.com/groups/1389435121327471/) is growing. But looking at the names and profiles, it appears she’s making more fake pages, and changing some of the names to aka’s.

    • anyone feels like informing her that using the state seal without permission is a second degree misdemeanor?

“The Florida Secretary of State is the official custodian of the seal.[1] Use or display of the seal must be for an official purpose and approved by the Florida Department of State.[1]One exception is that other Florida state or local agencies can use or display the seal for official business if approved by head of their agency.[2] Illegal use of the seal in Florida is a second degree misdemeanor.[1]”
      source: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Seal_of_Florida

I’m not a lawyer but second degree misdemeanor … that’s good for up to a year in jail isn’t it? Ooops …sorry … second degree is 60 days max … first degree is one year.

Anyone want to inform the Florida Department of State?

      • Not again!

That page appears to be one sanctioned by the business community with backing, or at least support, from the state.
Hers is the one at the bottom called “Ocala Preferred Wedding Venders and Brides to be .”
No clue what the period at the end represents.
        https://www.facebook.com/groups/1389435121327471/

        • Ah, didn;t realise that (about the seal using page) I thought she was using it on HER page. that would have been pretty epic.

Wedding VENDERS not VENDORS … right… must be an American english thing right ? (And yes, I know that’s how she wrote it).

I would be willing to bet that if you went on a search for debtors in Florida (sunbiz.org) you would find her and/or her husband.

  • I am the owner of the legitimate Angels Touch Photography. I have been in business for seven years. This clown is located without an hour an a half radius of me. Thankfully, the majority of my business is word of mouth. I would love it if this blog would change the name to Angels Touch Bridal Photography, which is what her original name was. It’s difficult enough to build a legitimate business without this negativity.

    • Joseph Philbert

Sorry about that but I dont think it will be changed since the thief (not you) actually used or is using the same name.

      • Just a Girl

The names ARE different.. Photo Thief Angel uses Angels Touch BRIDAL Photography. The legit one uses Angels Touch Photography. There is a difference. I wondered about that awhile back. I would not be happy at all about getting drug into this based on one word in the name.

        • Joseph Philbert

          I agree I mis-read

    • Joseph Philbert

O crap I see what you mean .. send a request .. @photostealers:disqus check this out.

    • Shit! that sucks … are you registered as a proper business? Did oyu register your name as a mark of trade? If so hit her for trademark infringement!

    • Michael Goolsby

This is one of the problems when using such generic names and then not incorporating. I would imagine that there are countless “Angels Touch” (should there not be an apostrophe, by the way?) studios across the US, and anyone looking for you is invariably going to be confronted by many more that are NOT you. And without incorporation or trademark, there’s little recourse.

  • Angel is BACK

    Oh lokk… She BACK!

    • Angel is BACK
    • Melinda Potter

looks to be using all her own crappy images though. So that’s good

      • Just a Girl

Crappy is an understatement. WTF is with the framing of them. I actually wiped my laptop screen off thinking there was dust on it. I would be pissed if I paid good money for that out of focus, cheap snapshot looking crap!

    • Joseph Philbert

And just like that she is gone again LOL

    • JM

Yep and at least three new brides that she had duped with her false advertising.

  • JM

Four to five brides she had duped with her false advertising.

  • JM
    • Melinda Potter

Ugh! For real?! … Trying really hard not to drop the F bomb

      • Joseph Philbert

Those are the old ads made a month prior ..

        • Ok so that’s no excuse … she can pull the ads.

          • Joseph Philbert

I agree just meant to say that they are not new ads..

        • Melinda Potter

They should have been pulled. I’ll never get people who do this. Never

  • Priceless

    Priceless!
    From her page:
    Angels Touch Bridal Photography
” We are not affiliated with any other area photography companies”

    • Just a Girl

Her writing style in the description is very annoying. The use of random capitalization in a sentence and attempting to use “big” words when they just don’t fit is stupid. I’m on a Forum with someone who writes like that and I refuse to read anything they write.

  • Michael Goolsby

The new photo galleries posted by Angel demonstrates the very problem that exists with photo stealers: the actual work almost never looks anywhere as good as the stuff that was stolen.

The photos stolen by Angel were all first rate quality. The stuff she actually produces is pure amateur level. The difference is vast. And the quality these couples receive will be far different from that which they saw and upon which they based their hiring decision.

  • Just a Girl

I tried to post this earlier and it wouldn’t go,, so if you see something crazy earlier… its probably that attempt! LOL which means this is totally worded differently but with the same idea… Anyway, I have seen you PRO—fessional photographers ( regular posters on here) make it seem like if someone doesn’t shoot with at 2-3000 camera that they aren’t pros and aren’t capable of shooting quality work. I don’t necessarily agree with that and I’m wondering.. what in your opinion makes a PROFESSIONAL photographer? Is it equipment ALONE… is it experience ALONE.. or is it both COMBINED? I have a friend that shoots with a 40D for her back up camera for weddings, portraits, landscape and wildlife and we all know that when you break it down is not REALLY a PRO camera.camera.. (For the life of me I can’t recall what her other camera is but its above the 40D by ALOT) When I have mentioned my camera expereince I havent mentioned it much cause really Im a small fry in the large fry world and I shoot for fun until I find determination to get what I want and then I will sit in one spot waiting for that specific shot… BUT some of my shitty shots with an XTi have killed that 40D shot that was supposed to be perfect….so I just wonder…. to -me- its based on experience… I can stand side by side with someone and take the same exact shot and someones is gonna come out better… and its gonna be because one person can tweak it better then the other… not because of camera… Make sense? Curious on what you PROs have to say 🙂 Anyway… I wondered where I should post this and chose Angels Touch Bridal Photography to keep bringing attn to the the fact that shes a photo stealer…and she annoyed me with her maniac moment a few weeks back when she went bat shit crazy on her and her Facebook Page! LOL

    • Michael Goolsby

You’ve brought up not just one but two subjects that have inspired tremendous online debate. With that in mind, I’ll just try to offer a rather moderate response within the context of photostealers.

First, being a professional photographer may mean numerous things, but it probably most means creating an expectation and accepting a responsibility. In other words, its about the relationship. The issue of money of secondary relevance, although the passing of money from client to photographer can clarify that relationship. For example, it’s pretty clear when money is exchanged that a professional service is expected. But that same professional is still acting as a professional if the service is (for one reason or another) done without charge, so long as the expectation is still created and the responsibility is accepted.

Now, here is the tricky part, and here is where photostealing comes in. The client’s expectation that a service will be performed and delivered may also come with an expectation of the QUALITY of the work that they will receive. Although this involves subjective evaluation, it would be reasonable for someone who hired their photographer for $200 off Craigslist to have lower expectations of quality than the client who hires their photographer for $20,000 off Rodeo Drive.

But a photostealer such as Angel’s Touch Photography changes all that. More often than not, they are only capable of providing the $200 expectation. And if they showed their own work, that’s probably all anyone would want to pay them, if anything at all. But instead, they STEAL from photographers such as that one on Rodeo Drive, creating a higher expectation from their client.

The stealing in the first place is bad enough, but this misrepresentation is where is gets worse for two main reasons: First, while the photostealer often charges more than they are actually worth, they still often charge much less than warranted by the quality of the work which they have stolen. This hurts legitimate photographers, but it teaches brides and couples the false lesson that super high quality can also be super cheap. Thus, the photostealer has cheapened the market. Second, because there is no way for the photostealer to deliver the quality which they have used to attract their unsuspecting client, the client invariably learns over AFTER their wedding day that they were scammed. This hurts no only the bride who had higher expectations, but the industry, too, for, like it or not, that photographer represents our industry. And that is why policing our industry — as is the mission of photostealers.com — is so important. And it is also why these fauxtographers who do not fully rectify their actions deserve the harshest regard possible. Angel’s Touch Photography, for instance, never was honestly forthcoming about her actions. She tried to mitigate it with lame excuses designed to keep her from looking poorly. Because her theft was so public, she needed not only to publicly admit her transgression and make personal rectification with each photographer from whom she stole, but she also bore the responsibility of contacting each and every client booked for some date in the future and admit her deception and offer the opportunity for them to decline using her. She did not do all — if any — of these things. The only thing she did was take down the stolen work and pretend that nothing ever happened. That is why she deserves the fiercest public shaming possible.

You next question is: from a professional’s perspective, what constitutes professional gear?

Whenever we see a photostealer using entry-level gear, we do indeed say something. But this is not an attack on the gear itself. A Rebel T1i is plenty capable of producing good quality wedding pictures in the right hands. Conversely, a Canon 1DX is still going to have crap coming out of it when used in the wrong hands. So gear doesn’t really matter, and yet it does.

First, when we observe the fauxtographer using entry-level gear, we’re really just groaning at the likely scenario, which is that the digital Rebel we see they are using is likely just an indication that it is their first DSLR, and that they simply decided to “go pro” after taking a few pictures of their cat, or some ducks, or their sister’s new baby just a month after picking it up at Best Buy.

Entry-level cameras and lenses are designed to offer a reasonable and broad experience at the lowest price point. It takes a long time to be able to produce the quality of photos often stolen by photostealers. Over that time, the needs of the legitimate photographer become more refined and personal, and the legitimate photographer typically trades up for gear more specifically suited for those needs. For instance, wedding photography often benefits from bright lenses, whose larger apertures can be exploited for isolating subjects from the background, or for obtaining tough-to-get shots in low-light settings, such as indoor ceremonies. These lenses are typically much larger and heavier, and aren’t good matches, physically, for the smaller, more plastic-framed entry-level cameras. Sports photographers benefit from higher frame rates and faster buffers than what entry-level cameras provide. Commercial photographers may benefit from great connectivity and control options. Dual card slots, interchangeable focus screens, more advanced and faster focus systems, and WiFi compatibility, among many other options are features which legitimate professionals would want and which may not be available on the basic Rebel. Durability is also an issue. Rebels were designed for weekend vacations and school plays. They were not designed for rugged or heavy use. A Rebel can withstand the fauxtographer’s ocassional “spray and pray” park shoot or wedding, but a pro would not want to have to depend upon it for a year of events every weekend, from weddings and bar mitzvahs to corporate events and quicenearas.

In addition, a genuine pro is going to want to have at LEAST a second camera as backup, and many serious pros also have a third or fourth. Even if they kept that entry-level Rebel, their second camera is not going to be the same. And so, when I see a Rebel with a kit lens in the hands of one of these photostealers, I see a fauxtographer who likely just owns ONE camera. Even pros who argue about what does or does not constitute pro gear agree that backup gear is essential, for equipment does not politely inform you ahead of time that it will break down between jobs. Rather, that shutter that fails is going to fail when the bride is coming down the aisle, or the cake is being cut, or during the first dance, first kiss, bouquet toss, or exit. Thus, while the real professional will be able to simply pull out another body and continue uninterrupted, the fauxtographer, such as Angel’s Touch Photography, is going to find herself unable to fulfill that EXPECTATION that we talked about in the beginning. Bummer, huh?

You mentioned that you know someone who uses a 40D as a backup. Is it suited for professional use or not? Again, it is not a matter of the specific type of camera. Rather, it is a more general issue of the photographer having all of their needs met and the client having all of their expectations met. (By the way, I am in my 20th year of wedding photography, and I absolutely love the 40D. Though we use newer bodies for our main work, the 40D offers plenty of pixels, terrific image quality, and good features and performance for the work we do. I’ve picked up several over the past couple of years at about $250 each in terrific condition to use as secondary bodies. I’m in the business to make money on photography I create, not spend money on new toys for my personal pleasure.)

And so the observance of an entry-level camera or lens is not in and of itself a bad or unprofessional thing. Rather, the indication of what is (or is not) behind it that is disturbing.

Thanks for reading. I hope what I shared is useful to you.

      • Joseph Philbert

Micheal this was written so eloquently I may use some of it on my blog if you don’t mind 🙂

        • Michael Goolsby

Please feel free, and thank! I’d be glad if any of it can be of any use!

      • Justin Case

Excellent, clear and well reasoned. I wrote about 800 words before you posted this, but I had an ‘auto-refresh’ happen (thanks disqus) so you saved me the trouble by covering almost everything I was going to say, and probably better.

The few things I would like to add: Like Michael I’ve been in this business since the purely film days and I’ve been an educator during the entire digital revolution. There is no question in my mind that cameras – even the entry level DSLRs – are far more advanced than the best of the 35mm film cameras and the average, total novice photographer can make better pictures right out of the box than many experienced amateurs could with the high quality equipment of 10 years ago.

What I see over and over again is students or new photographers who get a great image with a cheap camera and kit lens and good available light, but then can’t get a sharp image with the same equipment in a studio with thousands of dollars worth of strobes. It simply takes experience to know which equipment will perform best in which situation.

Cameras are just tools. You choose the right tool for the job. I often wonder if people ask their plumber what brand wrench he’s planning to use or how many bar their mechanics’ air compressor is. Being a professional means having the equipment to get the job done. What KIND of equipment or BRAND is totally irrelevant.

I don’t know how many around here have been shooting long enough to remember the ‘Holga’ wedding photographer phenomenon of the ’90s. There was a time when professional wedding photographers (yes, even the $5000+ type) were using a $20 plastic-lens camera to make unique, lo-fi, moody wedding images. It was all the rage. But so far as I knew, all the people doing this were ALSO carrying around at least two other cameras, strobes, etc. to make sure their asses were covered. That’s what being a professional is.

I don’t care if you have the latest Hasselblad and Phase-One back… if you’re shooting weddings or editorial with just ONE of anything, you’re headed for disaster. What is Angel going to do when a drunken uncle spills a glass of champagne in her camera bag or one of the ring bearers happens to knock a lens off a table? (yes, both those things have happened to me, and that’s by no means the worst I’ve seen).

You don’t gain as much experience when things go right as when they go wrong, and if you’re taking someonelse’s money for something – be it $200 or $2000 dollars – you better be prepared to give them what you charged for, no matter what the circumstances. That is what a professional does.

        • Michael Goolsby

You bring up some good details, Justin. Like you, I worked back in the film days, and it was MUCH different than today, both in skillset and gear. For example, I shot weddings with 645 for portraits and two Canon F1 35mm bodies — one with high speed black and white, and the other with medium ASA color film — for everything else. No zooms, of course. The quality and speed just wasn’t there. I processed my own BW, and the color went to a pro lab. Our whole process was still incomprehensible to the layman, to whom we might have well been working magic. And I was able to charge about three times (actual dollars) what I can get for a wedding today. Today, an auto everything DSLR can get a well-exposed and good color image ready to share on Facebook in seconds. Is it any wonder than the new Rebel buyer believes themselves to be capable of jumping into a business with so little thought or care? Especially when they can simply steal the images needed to “get them started”, until they get equally awesome images of their own. The problem is, though the camera is perfectly capable, the photographer is not. Composition, lighting, posing (where appicable), timing, previsualization… all things that the huge proliferation of photo magazines assures their readers are so simple (would the magazines sell if they said otherwise?), but which are not…. these are things which they did not anticipate actually having to study, practice and learn. Pair that with the fact that the business of photography is so much more “business” than “photography”, and we end up with an extremely high attrition rate.

Funny that you mention the Holga. I was never brave enough to use it, but I still own one around here somewhere. My sister actually bought one just a few years ago. She knows virtually nothing about photography, but excitedly told me about “this camera that pros use that’s really cheap but is suppose to take amazing pictures”. She couldn’t remember the name, but I did. I tried unsuccessfully not to burst her bubble when I explained that 1) the charm of the camera actually comes from its technical inadequacies, rather than excellence, 2) the effect is relatively easy to achieve in Photoshop or even, today, with a phone app, and 3) a photograph is still only as good as the photographer who created it. (My favorite What the Duck of all time is the one where the layman looks at a print and says “Your camera takes great pictures” to which the photographer ponders and then replies “Your mouth makes great comments”.)

But you are dead on correct to point out that the typical photostealer who, no matter what camera they own, owns only one is cooking up a recipe for disaster. Maybe not this wedding or even the next, but one day. And it will be an even greater disaster for the couple than the photographer. (Ok, maybe not TOO much of a disaster, given the poor quality of photos they likely would have received in the best of circumstances!) And there’s a heck of lot more to malfunction or break on today’s cameras than there ever was with the old ones. I could operate one of my old F1 bodies without a battery if needed, and the lenses had no electronic coupling or focus mechanisms whatsoever.Over the past 14 years I’ve been digital, I’ve had a shutter go out during a first dance (1D Mark II), a lens stop communicating with the body during a bride’s entrance (10D and 24-85 EF), and a card malfunction during a cake cutting (original 5D and 4GB Sandisk). Not a bad record, actually, for fourteen years, but all still potential disasters that were NOT disasters because I had backup gear right beside that let me continue as if nothing had happened.

The photostealers with just a single little digital Rebel and kit lens are not just thieves, but they are totally irresponsible. Clients deserve better, and that is why the photostealer who does not make things right deserves only the harshest criticism.

  • jo thomas

By the looks of her current uploads she duped a lot of brides. 🙁

    • Justin Case

Um, am I missing something? Her facebook site doesn’t have anything new on it and her godaddy website is for sale. Is there some link that I’m missing and isn’t listed above?

  • jo thomas
  • jo thomas

Over 10 brides she duped with her false advertising. I wonder how satisfied they are in comparison to what they expected?

  • jo thomas

New website too. http://www.angelstouchphotography.com/ And considering her work…not all of those photos belong to her.

    • Joseph Philbert

Yea she removed “Touch” from her name on the fanpage now its “Angels Photography” smh

    • Justin Case

I really don’t think this is the same photographer. Although I couldn’t find the location listed on their website (weird), this studio is run by someone named Stephanie and nothing seems to even remotely coincide with Angels Touch Bridal.

  • Justin Case

Haha. It’s really cat-and-mouse with little Angel. Or more like Tom and Jerry, really.

  • jo thomas

STILL STEALING!!!! Those aren’t new brides she’s duped! Those are photos stolen from an Australian photographer named My Wedding Photos. From their website things looked off but then I found their Facebook page and there it is posted in 2011!
    https://www.facebook.com/MyWeddingPhotosSydney/photos/pb.183662824991213.-2207520000.1398433375./305212522836242/?type=3&theater

Same weddings she JUST posted on her own FB page!
    https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=766002890106956&set=pb.727207933986452.-2207520000.1398432723.&type=3&theater

Check out the other weddings! They’re there too!

    • Justin Case

wow, she must have this page as her home page! as soon as you post, her facebook goes down.

      • jo thomas

All of the news ones are stolen. She’s taking them from people’s FB page which makes them unsearchable the typical way…unless someone posts those same images to their website which is how I found her thievery. It’s cool though. I got screenshots. 😉

      • jo thomas

Her FB page is still up from what I can tell.

        • Justin Case

strange, she must have me blocked (I’m not in the U.S.) and I don’t remember ever posting on her old page. I can still access her personal page though. It’s quite scary.

    • Joseph Philbert

Does this person smoke crack.??? I mean she has to know some of us will check from time to time!

      • Michael Goolsby

Yes, she does smoke crack. She has to. Because nobody — I mean nobody — is really so abso-friggin-lutely STUPID as all that to keep stealing photos after what she went through.

Because she is a photo stealer, by the way, she doesn’t enjoy the professional courtesy of not commenting on her work in public. So…

The new batches of photos she really did take are oh-my-god-horrendous, pooped out without any skill, creativity of photographic competence whatsoever. I remember learning on The Andy Griffith Show how Floyd the Barber said that he learned how to cut hair by grooming his family pets. Doesn’t this woman have any cats or hamsters or something she can practice on before doing such terrible to stuff to nice human beings? I mean, holy christ these people are green! There’s no sense of posing to make people look their best. And she’s obviously completely unaware there’s this really bright light in the sky called The Sun. This is all basic, beginner stuff! Why oh why won’t she just spend some time learning first?

        • jo thomas

She didn’t take those wedding photos. She stole them from an Australian photographer who took them several years ago and posted them on his FB pg. Almost every one was stolen from the UK photographer specifically and the others stolen likely from other UK photogs who haven’t looked at or used those photos in years. It’s why she thought she could get away with it.

Or are you meaning the family photos? Yeah, pretty dang terrible. It makes me certain that the other photos of families on her old website were stolen as well, and probably from FB just like the new batch of wedding pics.

          • Joseph Philbert

I think I know what she is doing … Looking for very old images that google may not have indexed … Dumb ass
It’s easy to spot since her work is amateur.
Angel steal images of terrible photographers that why we can’t tell if it’s stolen.

        • Marc W.

Our dog is my favorite subject.

    • captain-confuzzled

Now that’s just bizarre! Although I almost fell for it, thinking well, she has a whole series, maybe its hers, when will I ever learn! sheesh!

  • CrackerJacker

She’s also a con artist or an idiot — see this post on her FB:

    FACEBOOK
has recently changed its rules for Business Pages again. So, here’s the
deal; A person has to be ‘active’ on your page a minimum of 3 times
    within any calendar month period.
This means a ‘like’ of a picture,
a comment or a full post on the wall. If a person is not active on your
page, as listed above, after a month of no activity, their ‘like’ will
be removed from your page, as FB has decided they are not interested in your page!
    How lovely is that!

So, if you are a fan of any pages, do make sure you are regularly
active. Even just one quick post a week will ensure that the page will
    remain in your timeline..
It’s also been found that the more Likes or Comments any one post receives, the more people that see it in their Newsfeed.
So if you see a post or photo from any Business page you are a fan of make sure you like it, or even comment on it.
    Help keep small Businesses running
Please COPY & PASTE this onto your Business Page Wall if you have one!! Thanks all!!

    • Looks like I’m blocked. 🙁
These kind of messages come up all the time.

This one will actually HURT her reach since there are changes coming ot Facebook soon and pages will be penalized for begging for likes.

      http://www.forbes.com/sites/jaysondemers/2014/04/22/recent-facebook-twitter-changes-every-business-owner-needs-to-know/

Like-Baiting: Posts that explicitly ask fans to ‘like’, comment or share a post are known as ‘like-bait’. A common practice has been for page administrators to request these actions in order to increase engagement; thereby increasing the visibility and prominence of the post in users’ news feeds.

However, Facebook is now cracking down on these types of posts, stating that their surveys show the relevance of these types of posts are actually less than other posts with the same levels of engagement: “[W]hen we survey people and ask them to rate the quality of these stories, they report that like-baiting stories are, on average, 15% less relevant than other stories with a comparable number of likes, comments and shares.”

    • Wes Jones

I posted a comment stating that this is not true and either she blocked me or her entire facebook page is now gone. Is there anyway to tell when you have been blocked?

      • CrackerJacker

Seems to be gone or blocked to all.

  • Justin Case

can someone post some screen grabs from Angel’s recent facebook site? I am very curious, and must be blocked because I’m not in the U.S.

I am starting to think, judging only by her posts on her personal page, that she truly is unhinged mentally and is likely only hurting herself.

    • captain-confuzzled

      here’s a few quick grabs

      • Justin Case

Thank you, captain. Yep, that proves it for me, she is absolutely, certifiably, undeniably, insane. I think we should find someone in Ocalla, FLA to stage an intervention. Seriously.

  • Michael Goolsby

Angel is still trying to pick up the pieces. Her Facebook page is filled with new entries and advertisements, but nothing is really different… still just a one-sided conversation, with no responses from anyone.

There’s clearly lots of self-delusion here. Last week, she wrote: “I have been Thinking , changing my name to ”Angels Photography” , I really want to do more than just wedding’s ” I love my brides” don’t get me wrong …I seem to be doing a lot more work , Customers booking me more & more for family, senior portraits and children”

Uh, huh. No doubt, she’s getting all these bookings because of all that great exposure lately.

She must be massively busy as a photographer, because there’s clearly no time to check spelling, grammar, or punctuation. I see at least eight errors in just five sentences: “Not only do we GARENTEE our work but We don’t charge for mutable location. It is all included!!! You can find your self paying $300 or $400 for a photo session in most studio’s. NOT with Angels Photography. Retouching is very important to making your picture’s ”Amazing ” . from blemishes to skin softing , teeth whiting and more – ALL included in your final image’s. ”

Absolutely ridiculous, of course, that she’s still using stolen wedding images. Naturally, one giveaway is that there are ZERO comments from any of these “clients”.

Supposedly, she’s married to a man named Dan, with whom she shares stepchildren. How is it that yet another spouse is completely oblivious to this fantasy life his wife has concocted?

    • Joseph Philbert

      “mutable”??? LOL!

    • captain-confuzzled

It must be Friday, a sentence from her About page (which is a mix of her old and new company name) says “It is our passion to Capture your moments.” It is totally tickling my funny bone – so… Angel do capture my angry moments? sad moments? stupid moments?

    • doncalifornia

Skin softing and teeth whiting is how we photoshoppen your facing.

      • doncalifornia

        when we’re not busy stealening.

      • Helena

        Hahahahaha

  • Photo Stealers

    Updated!

  • Doh!

    Couldn’t resist.

  • Joseph Philbert

    Fan page is now down.

  • In case any person who’s been stolen from by Angel Harris of Angels touch bridal photography, here are her contact details: angelstouchbridalphotography@live.com or you can call her at 352-237-7000

  • jo thomas
    • Marc W.
    • doncalifornia

Well, she says “No I did not take them but I miss the beach.” LOL OK, again Angel, please please please understand, you CAN’T post other photographers’ work on your business page without permission. Even if you say it’s not yours. You CAN’T. It is copyright infringement. Seriously, seriously, have a talk with your brain. Wake it up! Think! This is why we keep posting this stuff.

  • jo thomas

So we’ve just been looking at wedding photography. Notice that those family portraits are just as terrible quality as the ones she stole from the Australian photographer? And also notice no likes? No shares? No comments from anyone who knows them? Now I know they’re are plenty of brides who don’t mess with FB but how many people with cute kids don’t comment on how adorable the children are? How many supposed seniors, even the not popular ones will like and share their photos on FB? These are bound to be stolen too. We just need to find out from whom. Also that previous website founf for Angel Harris with family pictures…the quality and skill doesn’t even equal what she stole for FB. So who'[d she steal those from?

  • BullShite

How many times can we use the world “beach” in one paragraph? Let’s find out!

“A look down Ocean Pier, Daytona Beach. Ready for a nice beach day. Nothing better than the beach. I cant wait to get to go to the beach house this year really looking forward to it. I will always love Daytona but I tell you Long boat key inmay last year I spent a week in long boat it is one of the most beautiful beach’s. cant wait, I am on the beach count down… I said last year that I would spend more time on the beach and I am sticking to it… “

    • Joseph Philbert

      Oh beach!

      • Just a Girl

OH! Son of a beach she was busted!

    • jo thomas

Haha but she’s such a great photographer she couldn’t take photos while there? Instead she had to steal them off the internet. Go figure.

      • Joseph Philbert

She will never learn… Then again all the ones she too sucks I bet 🙂

        • BullShite

I am pretty impressed with the depth of delusion on her page!

  • jo thomas

    She’s posted a message for Photo Stealers… Oh my…

  • Guest

She’s posted a message for Photo Stealers… Oh my..

    • captain-confuzzled

oh good lord, talk about out in space! I do agree with her follow up comment….

    • BullShite

What is with this attacking children garbage these people always fall back on? Sorry, but if my minor children were attacked, I would be here with screengrabs OUTING the people attacking my children. What bullshit.

  • Just a Girl

To bad shes wasting money on something she doesn’t know how to use!

    • Joseph Philbert

I bet money she does not own that camera …much less 5 cameras

      • Justin Case

easy enough to take a snap of a camera sitting on the counter of a shop, though.

      • Suz

Sure, she probably has a couple of phones that take pictures (I mean, what *does* one do with the old ones?) and a P&S..maybe an actual DSLR if she’s lucky. She just forgot the winky face hen she said “camera.”

    • Why is the picture inverted?!??!
As for owning 5 cameras? 2 or 3 sure … one main, one secondary and a backup … but 5? Could have spent that money on other things especially if you are opening a brick and mortar studio.

      • Justin Case

taken with the wrong side of her phone?

      • Lindsay11

Haha I didn’t even notice that! Why IS it inverted?? haha

      • Marc W.

Couldn’t she have just used one of the 4 other high quality cameras she already has to take this photo?

      • Helena

It’s not, it’s the Canon special left handed edition. 😉

        • Marc W.

          You mean the new nonaC

          • Helena

            Damn straight! 😀

  • Just a Girl

Her old Facebook is gone … the link to her new one. https://www.facebook.com/Angelsphotographyfl
Scarey enough shes opening a brick and mortar studio.

  • Lindsay11

    Two things:

    https://www.facebook.com/Angelsphotographyfl/posts/780222612018317

What is going on in these photos? Did she photoshop them? Is it just bad photos? They just don’t look… right.

Second, our friend Jazlyn is posting on Angel’s page. (That’s how apostrophes work btw Angel)

    • I can;t see her new page … just kicks me back to my stream.

      • Lindsay11

I guess she didn’t like you calling attention to her theft! When I get a few minutes maybe I can screen shot it? I have no idea how to do that…

        • Norman Beer

I’m not seeing any comments from JJ.

        • Justin Case

Please do Lindsay. When did our friend JJ post?

          • Lindsay11

I hope this works! If anyone else doesn’t know how to take a screenshot I found help here. http://www.take-a-screenshot.org/

Haha I thought I deleted the first one. I wish I knew how…

          • Lindsay11

I can’t either. Inconsiderate thieves making it impossible for people outside the US to see their page. 🙁

    • Justin Case

classic misdirection. I guess that vacation in Aruba must be getting pretty boring. I barely want to give this loser any more attention, but it’s too pathetic not to.

      • Joseph Philbert

        Oh oh!

  • jo thomas

“literally hundreds of awards” Can anyone say liar, liar pants on fire? This nut just can’t seem speak one word of truth.

    • Lindsay11

Are you a professional wedding photographer jo? (Or, anyone can answer this actually) I was asking because she is charging $500-900 a wedding and that includes albums and engagement sessions. That seems INCREDIBLY cheap but I’m not a photographer and I didn’t pay my wedding photographer. (He was a friend and it was a present, I didn’t NOT pay him lol)

      • noname required

Wow! My packages start at $3,000. Album alone is $1,000 (actual material cost almost $400) Shutterfly possibly? Ugh!

      • Norman Beer

You get what you pay for…

      • jo thomas

I am a professional and my cheapest package starts at $750 and goes up to $8k. The $750 is, of course, for an elopement package of only 3 hours and a few prints for non weekend weddings. A pro who has been in the business for 13 years would never have their prices so low. One simply can’t afford to live on that for the amount of work you do and then produce quality product, let alone actually succeed at it. She shoots with a low end camera and likely goes to Costco for any prints. Considering the images she posts(that we assume are hers) the quality is poor, the skill is non existent, the focus stinks, the lighting stinks, etc…What she’s charging may sound cheap, and is for any real professional, but to be honest for her skill level, she is way over pricing herself. But then she’s not a professional. She’s a momtog with a camera lying and stealing in hopes to feed her delusions.

        • Norman Beer

Hey, I go to Costco and have to tell you, in side by side comparisons to the big names, most of the time they are as good.
Granted, I don’t sell my clients albums from there, but depending on the client and the picture, they are awesome. Yes, you have to be selective on what you get done there.
I also have a great relationship with everyone in their lab. The manager is a professional photographer. So no, not your ‘typical’ Costco.

          • jo thomas

I have used costco when in a rush for a personal print and side by side with MY labs…there is no comparison. Not in quality, color, or sharpness.

          • Norman Beer

We sent out to a number of labs, including all of the big national ones as well as local pro and non pro labs. Costco held it’s own. WHCC was worse than even some Walmart prints. With WM you expect inconsistencies. You shouldn’t have that with WHCC. On top of that, their Customer Service is way worse!
What people don’t get is that the machines some of the Costco’s have are the exact same ones as some of the pro labs. The difference is the people running them. Just like the camera…

          • Lindsay11

I am glad to hear this because I use Costco whenever the Grandmas want pictures and I’ve always been happy with the quality. I didn’t know they used machines like pro labs.

          • Me, Myself and I

Print at Costco now and come back to your print in 5 years. They are not archival standard.

Also 50% of the time, the colors are off (I use them for 4X6 handouts … 0.15$ or 0.13$ per print).

Also, it’s hard to sell your client on why they should buy “overpriced” prints from you when you print at the same place they do. There is not “IT” factor at printing at Costco but “I order my prints from an exclusive printer in Troronto that deal only with pro photographers.” has a bit more “wow factor” to it. It makes the prints more special.

        • Lindsay11

Thank you so much for your information, I had a feeling those prices were low! I have not heard momtog yet lol

          • Savannah

Welcome to Georgia, especially the military bases… Now there are some military wives who happen to be amazing photographers, but it’s their profession. There are tons of “momtogs” at both of our bases closest to me. They get a camera for christmas & start shooting sessions for $35 for 2 hours. And some suck them in by “borrowing” images. And then people come to you asking if you compete with their rates…. que the hair pulling out…

            Rant over, sorry!

          • Me, Myself and I

That’s one of the things that drives me crazy …. people say “Why worry about the fauxtogs, they can;t compete with you on quality”.

Because they devalue photographic services in general.

The more fauxtogs there are offering shoots at a loss, the harder it gets to charge actual sustainable rates … and its not just about finding new efficiencies to help strenghten your profit margins … there is a base cost to offering our services and 300$ for a 10 hour wedding with prints and albums isn’t a viable price point!

It’s because of asshats like this thief that the industry is in such dire starights, its why I spend some of my precious free time here helping out theives and conmen!

            IT HAS TO STOP!!!

          • Savannah

            Amen!!
When we pay for education to better our services, pay for gear, insurance, business license & the like to be legal, overhead like studio & 2nd shooters it isn’t just us pocketing $500 from a newborn session, or thousands from a wedding. It cost US money. And we should be expected to make a living just like anyone else. One of my biggest pet peeves… “If you take the photos can my husband edit so it’s cheaper?” …would you ask you plumber to asses the problem, then let you use his tools to fix it? I am all for photographers of different levels & different prices, or asking if payments are expected, not everyone can afford higher end photography, but they should know upfront what to expect from Momtogs, no be duped. Fauxtogs drive down the entire industry & it’s beyond infuriating after all the work, let alone the cost that goes into it. I don’t think any of us are raking in millions each year from portrait photography, it’s a job you do because you love. Well if she starting charging by the comment that might be lucrative 😉

On the note of helping, could a mod email me? The report link is broken & I have screen shots.

          • Savannah

Holy run on sentence! Sorry about that, I was fuming.

          • U Really That Dumb?

            What are they of? Angel?
Why can’t you post them here?

          • Savannah

I had been trying to report for a bit & can’t get the report link to work. It was someone else, not her.

          • U Really That Dumb?

            Check your email.

          • You can’t fix stupid

            Can I steal this?

            Have at it. 🙂

          • You can’t fix stupid

            Cool thanks

    • BullShite

Just reading this as a photography layperson, I would be completely turned off by the “sales pitch”. Earning “degrees” through PPA is not an education, and sorry, if I’d won “hundreds” of photography awards, every one of those hundreds would be in an album on my page.

      What a phony.

      WRONG ANGEL!
      This is the legit one!

      • noname required

Maybe someone should take this down? Wouldn’t be right to leave it up if this photographer is legit.

        • jo thomas

She’s a thief who has been busted twice and is still lying to everyone…therefore…not legit. Same thief. Same person. New website.

          • Norman Beer

Sorry but no. Stephanie is the legit one. Angel is the thief.

      • jo thomas

It’s Angel’s Touch Photography from Ocala, FL. It’s the right thief Norman. The other one is not from Ocala and does not use that complete business name. She hasn’t put up anymore stolen weddings however some of the quality of the family portraits don’t jive with the rest of her work at all. But since I can’t find the source it means she stole them from some photographer’s FB page, like she did to several wedding photographers. Which makes it incredibly difficult to trace.

        • jo thomas

Norman’s right. It really must suck to be the one in New Port Richey, so close to the thief.

        • Norman Beer

The link you posted is to Stephanie in New Port Richey, NOT Angel in Ocala.
          Angel in Ocala stole images.

          • Lindsay11

Oh man, is she still trying to blame Stefanie?? This is awful.

You’re right. I could’ve sworn she went by another name though.

    • Joseph Philbert

She will never change … Personally she can lie about her experience all she wants.. Just don’t steal the work from other photographers

    • Lindsay11

“…specializes in Children, Maternity, Senior portraits, Newborn, Family, Engagement & Weddings It is our passion to Capture your moments .”

Here’s that thing that annoys me about these people. You can’t “specialize” in 15 different things!

    • KimJ

Are any of her new photos stolen? I can’t see her page it keep son going to my feed.

      • Lindsay11

I didn’t see anything stolen so far.

      • Lindsay11

Well, she has posted a few meme type things, one has the original watermark and its just a have a ncie day thing. The other was a memorial day meme

  • Just a Girl

All 3 of them! LOL yeeeeeeeeesh!

  • Photo Stealers

Updated with more stolen images. Because apparently this lesson is a hard one to learn.

  • Just a Girl

Text book….. once a thief ALWAYS a thief. She can’t even blame getting caught the first time on this… she made the current page a year before she was originally busted for stealing. Me thinks she knew she was going need it! Such a loser.

    • U Really That Dumb?

Sorry but that’s business started date, not started on FB date.

      • Just a Girl

I stand corrected… I just took it as joined FB date

    • U Really That Dumb?

The first post was ~12hrs ago.

  • U Really That Dumb?

    Angel,
When will you learn that this is NOT the way to go?!?! Do you really want people digging deeper in to your life? I am curious, how many other lies are there in your life? Does hubby know everything? How about parents?
This house of cards is tumbling again!

  • A photographer is someone that actually takes pictures.

    • Piemonade

Oh, she TAKES them alright… see what I did there? 😉

Fauxtographers take pictures from photographers. Photographers create original, artistic images with a camera. 😉

  • Amber Kost

Ugh out won’t let me upload a screen shot. Grr. Check out her ‘personal” fb. The first pic quote is very ironic lol

    • Stephc79

Can you link her personal FB? Please 🙂 Because the link up top doesn’t work for me… Maybe she blocked me from the last time…

    • Just a Girl

      This one?

      • Just a Girl

I hate the whole Disqus refresh…. not sure if this posted the first time

      • Celine (peaceetc)

You know, I can respect the idea, but I most definitely do not respect Angel’s way of doing it.

  • Celine (peaceetc)

This lady will never learn, will she? Hasn’t she realized by now that she won’t get away with it?

Angel, stop stealing. Just stop. It’s wrong on many levels, and you screw over any clients you might get each and every single time. STOP STEALING.

It’s really not complicated. That you can’t grasp that says a lot about you, Angel.

  • Bart

Interesting… Lots of stolen photos also gone.

    • Bart

Talking to myself here. And poof all stolen photos gone -from Kay Ann photogrphy has nothing to do with Angels photogrphy – AKA Life’s
Magical Moments Photography. as I am WATCHING they are going away, weird to watch this happen.

      • doncalifornia

Bart I was watching that too. The sites just dissappeared before my eyes.

      • Who is kay ann photography?

        • Photo Stealers

I think that’s another alias. She forgot that I have a screen capture of her sharing the post.

  • Bart

Facebook is gone or I’m blocked.

    • doncalifornia

      gone

      • Wonder if she will post here to say hi.

Sent from a iPhone, please excuse the brevity and typos.

        • Just a Girl

Oh probably- just long enough to accuse everyone of being a bully and stalking her. Definitely NOT to take responsibility for her own action! Pathetic!

  • becky

I don’t get why people do this, it can’t be for money because they don’t have the skill to reproduce the images… or maybe people are tricked into hiring them and they just run after they get paid?…. I don’t know how long you could get away with that though. Sickening.

    • Justin Case

I can certainly understand you confusion, becky. Near as I can tell from my time around here, it’s an identity thing for many of these fauxtographers.

I can’t imagine someone like Angel makes a living at photography. But when you spend so much time telling all your friends and family about your dreams and ‘passion’ for it, it’s a hard thing to admit you have no real skills, training or ability.

Or maybe she’s just plain psycho. Either explanation works.

  • Piemonade

There is no cure for stupidity.

    • Lindsay11

Hi Pie! This is a bit of OT, but I noticed you commenting on a certain disgusting Mama blog that I’ve been obsessed with lately! Small world!

      • Piemonade

Haha! Yes, MckMama stole my internet innocence about 4 years ago. It is a glorious trainwreck, but I never imagined it would go on this long!

        • U Really That Dumb?

No one thought Angel would go on this long, but she has.
Just like Melinda & Aries… SMH

  • Melinda Potter

    Everyone it’s been explained:
Kay Ann photogrphy AKA Kay Ann has nothing to do with Angels photogrphy – AKA Life’s
Magical Moments Photography. Was only a referral for one of Angel touch’s clients to consider because Angel was “booked up”. Angel does not have the time to look at every photographer’s port that she refers her clients to, and it’s just a coincidence that the photographer she recommends to people is also a thief.

    Edited to add attachment

    • Melinda Potter

      Ok trying again

      • U Really That Dumb?

GREAT! Now she’s taking the shit show and fraud on the road!
Does she know that fraud is a felony in AZ? I wonder how she will look in pink boxers with Sherif Joe.

      • Just a Girl

Oh such a hero you are, Angel, for taking the hit for her. Everyone is lying but you… gimme a break. The solution to your latest photo STEALING is to have “Kay” come here and show us the RAW images of the work that is on YOUR new Page. I doubt that any of us will hold our breaths waiting for that to happen cause ALL know exactly what you are…. Angel Michelle Harris from
ANGELS TOUCH PHOTOGRAPHY AKA ANGELS PHOTOGRAPHY AKA LIFE’S MAGICAL MOMENTS PHOTOGRAPHY IN OCALA, FLORIDA
is nothing… NOTHING but a photo thief and Copyright Infringer!

      • Wes Jones

        I’m confused 🙁

      • doncalifornia

        1. One comment says she referred “a page from a lady I met here online” and that she doesn’t have time basically to vet all her referrals and if this Kay lady stole pictures, so be it, and she has nothing to do with her. Very next comment she says she has seen Kay’s work first hand “and shot several weddings with her…” LOL which is it Angel, you only just met her and you didn’t realize she was stealing? Or you have seen her work first hand and shot several weddings with her? Your two contradictory comments were posted less than 1/2 an hour apart!

        2. She says she’s “taking the hit” because photography is not her main source of income, but that this IS Kay’s main source of income. Funny how, before it was all taken down the second it was exposed, Kay’s facebook page said pretty clearly that she was only a hobbyist and this was not her profession (as Angel keeps saying about herself).

        • Photo Stealers

There’s also the pesky issue where “Kay” had images on her Facebook that Angel had on her website that were at the time believed to be Angel’s original work.

      • You can’t fix stupid

She must be making millions if she refers so many people out. Damn I could learn from her. Anyway who the hell refers clients away. You will always make a plan unless you have 2 wedding on the same day and how often does that happen, unless you are one major famous photographer, not that often.

    • That is one hell of a coincidence

  • Melinda Potter
    • Wes Jones

      I love that!

  • When lines start with “Name, is such a nice person” just means let them of the hook for breaking the law.
