So many swear words came out of my mouth when working on this post. I’ve had to do a few stretches and take a few breaks from all the digging to do what I can to find the original sources.
I don’t know what is so hard for photographers to grasp but you DO NOT USE OTHER PEOPLE’S WORK TO ADVERTISE FOR SESSIONS. EVER.
There’s a ton more but I’ve got a headache and my neck is numb so I’m raising the white flag.
I’ve been told I should add this link to all of my posts so if you want to kick me a dollar to help keep this site running (really it just goes to my lawyer lol) click here. If you want to support this site through Patreon and get early access to blog posts and more click here.
With this photographer there was a concentrated effort to crop out and sticker over existing watermarks. No. Just NO.
If you don’t have photos of your own setup, don’t go trolling for them on Pinterest/Google/Facebook. Take your camera, take your props you intend to use, set it all up and take a photo. It’s not really that difficult.
Be better. Do. better. Stop Stealing.
(I think I may make this my new tagline)
Allegedly this photographer has been a repeat offender for some time. She posts a photo from Pinterest, gets a smackdown from the original photographer, deletes and then does it again later on with a new photo.
Some are still live, some are from the screenshots I’ve been getting for over a YEAR of her use of stolen images from various photographers who have been calling her out.
This photographer is running ads with a stolen image she cropped the watermark out of as well as posting the same ad to a ton of local Facebook Groups.
I have a MASSIVE pile of editing to do so I didn’t dig as deep as I’d like here since I don’t have the time to do it. There’s quite a few more images on her Facebook Page I suspect aren’t her own original works but I couldn’t find sources so I am running with what I have. I apologize for not diving as deep on this one.
This wall of shame is dedicated to photographers that feel that it's okay to steal others' work and post it as their own. Oh I'm sorry, it's okay to let their "web designer" do it.
